Just a head's up to everyone that Tropical Storm Fay is heading right toward me and is probably going to be a category 1 by the time it gets here Tuesday morning. I do have an iPhone now, so if the cell system holds up, I'll be able to stay on the boards and on top of the draft - until my battery runs out that is.

Just as long as you keep your priorities straight!

I fully expect you to sit in your running vehicle with your phone in your car charger.

Seriously, though, stay safe!
Appears to be good news.

Fay update 11 a.m.
South Florida Business Journal
Gov. Charlie Crist declared a state of emergency as Tropical Storm Fay bears down on Florida. And even though South Florida appears out of the storm's cross hairs, we’re not totally out of the woods.
Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties can expect to feel tropical storm force winds as the day progresses.
Public schools and county courts are closed in Miami-Dade County. County courts in Broward will close at noon.
The Fall Business Expo set for today has been canceled and rescheduled for Aug. 26 from 5 p.m. to 8.p.m. at the Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale Airport Hotel.
The 311 Answer Center will remain open 24 hours until further notice. Residents can call 311 in Miami-Dade, (305) 468-5900 outside of Miami-Dade, and (305) 468-5402 for TDD.
If you don’t have insurance, it’s too late to get it now. Most property insurers stopped issuing new policies or expanded coverage. Those restrictions remain in effect until the watches are lifted.
Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum want to make sure no one gets ripped off as they prepare for Fay. If you suspect price gouging, call (866) 966-7226 and investigators will look into the complaint.
Under Florida law, the price of goods and services are considered exorbitant if the increase represents a “gross disparity” from the average price of that commodity during the 30 days prior to the declared emergency.
Those who violate the law can be fined $1,000 per violation, up to $25,000 for multiple violations over a 24-hour period.

I thought they stopped giving new coverage 20 years ago.
