I also want to point out that I'll be on a backpacking trip beginning in the evening of this Wednesday, August 20 returning Sunday evening August 24th. So I'm in favor of a timer in the hopes that it helps us get things wrapped up in the next three days. But if we don't then we may need to work around my schedule. Timers only make sense if folks are actually around to make their picks.

I'm teh only dingus that voted for no timer it seems. IMO a 12 hour timer is worthless. WE're all going to make every effort to check in at least as often as we can, I just don't see where a 12 hour timer can or will be very effective.

I'm on vacation from tomorrow until Friday, although I will be reachable on my Blackberry.
