Let's talk draft... Slow or live? and Availability... we only have like a week and a half to get it done. I just finished most of my drafts last night so I'm up for anything.

Also, is everyone still playing this year?

I thought BC was going to post up here after we talked earlier this week. We haven't heard from a few guys about coming back so we were going to recommend putting the league on hold this season and getting it kicked off much sooner next summer.

If anything, we should do a one-night live online draft. I have so many f'in leagues, I don't know what to do. But hey, what's one more?

I'll get a hold of BC to see what he thinks.

I'm wrapping up my last two other than this one. Thursday and Friday nights are bad for me. Otherwise, I'm game whenever everyone else is.

Just give me a date and I'll try and make it happen...

While we're talking about drafting, we also have to pay our league fees.


This is really the only option. There's not enough time left for a slow draft.

As far as fees go, I believe I had winnings that were credited towards this years fees.

For the draft, I'm pretty much open after Friday Aug 29th. I have a draft Monday Sept 1st at 5:30pm pst, lasting about 2.5 hrs. Other than that I'm open.

There's also start the slow draft and finish the last rounds up live...

Darin's post indicates there may be some who have dropped out. If we have to replace people, it's going to be tough to draft before the season starts.

I believe at least 10 or 11 indicated they were returning.

I'm in. Who is leaving? As far as the draft, I'm moving the week of Sept. 1-5, and it would be tough for me to do a live draft any of those nights. This coming week, I'm more open. However, I personally think a week plus is plenty of time to do a slow draft. Two rounds per day gets it done. Unless we have individuals who absolutely can't check in 2-3 times per day and are 100% against pre-selecting when their pick is near, I don't see why this isn't possible.

Basically, I can make whatever we decide work, but the sooner we start, the better. Is it feasible that we get everyone paid up, roll for draft spots, and start a slow draft by tomorrow or Tuesday? I don't know if everyone has Paypal or not, but I'm pretty comfortable with anyone who has been in this league in the past being reliable enough to start drafting while checks are "in the mail."

On the other hand, I've got my hands full this year as well, so if the general consensus is to postpone everything for a year, I'm OK with that as well. It would be a bit of a shame, though, as I think we have established a pretty competitive league representing (for the most part) the West coast huddlers.

Rez is around in another couple of drafts I'm doing right now so I'll hit him up...

As for paying league fees, again, we'll probably need someone to take over for BC this year so I know Al likes to collect money

I'm for keeping the league going this year, however I'm really not available for a live draft, because of work.
Slow draft will work for me and I'll do my best to keep up.

Regarding fees. I trust everybody in here and let me know where to send the check.

If we have two people drop out, lets make it a 10 owner two division league.

Al, if you handle the money will be apprieciated..... I still haven't heard from kpholmes and Rez, but I will setup a dice roll. If the show, we have 12, if not, we have 10. But if we are stuck with 11, I know a guy, work with him, he plays in my work league (16 team) and it's his 2nd year playing. So if we need another player, I know a guy if that's alright with you guys.

I'll be in. Thought I'd responded to the other post. Guess not.
I said it last year and will say it again this year: The appeal of this league to me is the live draft. Much preferred.

Well, technically al paid for it but I sent him the money for it.

Big thanks to JoJo for stepping up. I apoogize for not being more proactive this offseason in the setup of this league. Some new responsibilities at work (some fairly sudden) leave me where I'll be probably averaging 10-12 hours a day through September.
