I was looking over the calendar and noticed we're running BB 2 times every week ?

Why would we do this , it's confusing as heck.

We are running from Sunday 1st game kickoffs to Wednesday at 11PM est , then again at Thursday at 1AM to Friday at 11PM , then starting FCFS on Saturday till kickoff

Is this correct ?

Yes it was put to a vote and majority ruled. Check the old threads it's in there.

Thanks Mel.

I found the thread, I did vote on it. I guess I never even noticed it would run 2 times per week.............very odd , imo. Really only need it to run 1 time per week , unless there is a Thursday game or something.

Okay,

Now I'm really confused.

We're running Blind Bidding from Sunday at 3PM est time to Thursday at 3AM est time.

What about Thursday games ? This wouldn't allow for a pick up in between weeks 10 - 16

System needs an overhaul

First Served Waivers starts at 3:00 a.m. Who is staying up till 3AM for first dibs on FCFS ? smash.gif

If anything, it should run from Sunday to Tuesday, the again Wednesday-Thursday, then FCFS Friday & Saturday until kickoff Sundays.

Having FCFS on Saturday's (and only Saturdays) leaves those not near a computer on this day at a huge disadvantage, which was the original reason we changed the rule.

Or am I missing something unsure.gif

You guys are the ones that voted for it, maybe sometimes you need to read what you vote on instead of flying by the seat of your pants.
and as was stated numerous times when all this was going on was they wanted rules before the draft. welll guess what the draft is over and those are the rules and I will object to the high heavens if it is changed now. Keep it in mind for next year.

Your going to object, that no pick up , waivers or Blind Bidding can be performed in weeks 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 15 , because the BB ends at 2AM on Thursday night and those weeks have games on Thursday at 8PM ?

We voted on a system . No where can it be found about the times of a 3AM FCFS process

When do waivers start, I need to do some moves. Also remember 3AM EST is only Midnight PST.

Waivers start when the first game starts

Okay Mike--would have sent you a PM but I have found out that doesn't work with you--the first waivers each week end on Wednesday therefore you should be able to check your lineups for Thursday --a second blind bidding was added versus FCFS to again try to even out the free agent process for those owners who don't stay on the computer every day--finally the Sunday was added just in case

why wouldn't a PM work ?

So your saying the league calendar is correct as is now ? If so in weeks 10-16 we can not make any waivers before the Thursday games. In those 6 weeks, the Thursday game starts at 7-8 est. but the BB doesn't go through until Thursday at 1AM............after the game has played. In essence, we're allotted no pickups in we need to fill a kicker or defense, that happens to be playing in that Thursday game, and we have to forfeit any points we may have gained, due to a very odd time table to say the least.

Also, I voted on this rule to pass, but no time limits were indicated. I feel having FCFS at 3AM est time, is a bit of a disadvantage in the least.

if the waivers go through at 1 a.m. and the game starts at 8 p.m., that would give you 19 hours for FCFS. Is this correct? I'm a little confused.
Sir Loins of Beef
that is correct for the first 13 weeks the first waivers run late Wednesday night and the players will be available for the Thursdays games

Okay the calendar was setup correctly and is still correct--if there are any questions please ask--but please LOOOOK first at the whole calendar--FCFS are still scheduled as voted on starting at 11 MT on Saturday and running to 11MT on Sunday

John, The calendar is completely different today then it was yesterday. Now it appears to be set up good, but yesterday it had FCFS starting at 3AM on Thursday after the BB ended at 1AM on Thursday. Also there was no end of BB on Wednesday, but now there is.

So, it wasn't correct when I submitted my post yesterday, as now it's different ?

Thanks for taking care of the issues wink.gif
Sir Loins of Beef
Different? Anyway moving on please

i agree...but i am not the commish unsure.gif

So if understand it 1st round of BB waivers starts at 1:00 every Sunday, and ends Wednesdays @ 11:00; then the 2nd round starts a couple hours later, then ends 11:00PM Friday; then FCFS starts Saturdays at 11:00AM and runs until 11:00AM Sunday.

Sounds pretty simple.... unsure.gif

It does now, but yesterday when i posted, the calendar looked quite different. It had BB running from Sunday to Thursday 1AM , with FCFS starting on Thursday 3AM running to Friday's BB start.

Now with BB ending on Wednesday instead of Thursday , I like the set up mucho better. If Sir Loins didn't mess with it, then who did. I know I'm not going crazy here. laughing.gif
