As soon as we stop taking new members, the commissioner lock out status will be set to NOT be able to view pending owner-initiated transactions. That includes viewing lineups. That also keeps the commissioner from the ability to set a lineup for a franchise during the year. So when the season is here, make sure you have your lineups entered before you leave town or are away from a computer. A commissioner can't enter a lineup with a lockout status.

But for right now, the commissioner can't give up that ability while we are adding new franchises to the league.

Any time the commissioner lockout status changes, an e-mail will be sent to all league members that have their e-mail addresses listed.
None of the teams should be identified as the commissioner's team either. Otherwise anyone with the commish password would be allowed to view the commish's team.

So you may not want to post a lineup until the commissioner lockout status is changed to begin the season and receive an e-mail showing that it's changed.

Good point MV. Thanks for the MFL knowledge.

FYI - today MikesVikes and I both have commish privileges in MFL. MV will control the settings at the appropriate time. As stated above, there will be complete transparency into the settings.

FYI -
I am accepting new owners through Tuesday night at 10:00 Eastern. After that I will change the settings on MFL to where the commissioner cannot see any transactions. This will prevent me or MikesVikes (co-commish) from seeing any lineups after that point. If you have added your email to MFL, you will receive an email from our league that the setting was changed. If the setting is ever changed back to where one of the commishes can see transactions, MFL will automatically send an email to everyone again. The idea is to not ever change the setting back once we lock it out. If there is a need to do so, we will post a thread in this forum prior to doing so.

ETA: It would be a good idea to update your information on MFL to include your email address.

Anybody that has Rudi Johnson or has put in a dummy lineup that involves some player that's not listed as being on a team may want to unsubmit their lineup before the commish is locked out. Those players are listed as "locked" and can't be removed from your lineup if you wanted to do that.

Please check to see because you may get stuck with a current player you don't want in your lineup with no commish powers to change anything.

Commissioners are now locked out from performing transactions. Every man for himself helmet.gif
