Curious on the foundation of the league. Being a noob, i was invited and told this league was to award a winner based on his/her drafting abilities.

After reviewing the rules, I notice that crowning a champion has more to do with the line up being submitted by MFL . In which case, sleepers and match ups become an irrelevant part of this format and it's solely about ADP.

What's the fun in that ?

Especially not being able to even set an opening lineup for the season's first game.

that's how I was feelling...especially week one
but I do have the 4th ranked team!

It is about the draft being that once you've drafted, you can no longer make any moves. One team gets knocked out each week until there's only 1 left. Basically the 'King of the Hill' type...if you look at one of the earliest leagues doing this (HEFFA), it's much more of a pure type survival league as you only get 10 players drafted and the scoring is as basic as it gets...once you start adding more players, PPR, you start adding the element of luck to it more and more and get away from the actual draft...JMHO.

This is still a pretty cool format though...

I was not one of those that vote for PPR, but in general I agree with the sentiment.

It's just a draft and play bestball league. If it were more I probably wouldn't be in it.

I just hope MFL doesn't select Rudi as one of my RBs...
AquaticRay
That no worse than already losing a player to IR.

From a MFL support message board

Your week 1 lineup wont be set until after the Monday night game on Sept 8.

All the players have played and you will know your highest scoring players for the week. They will be your lineup for week 1.

Retroactive on the lineups for week 1

Well, that does suck when you consider players like Marshall or Smith coming back from suspension and not being put right away in your lineup. It's like they get suspended for an additional week as well. This also would apply with a player like LT missing a game due to injury. MFL wouldn't stick him back into your lineup the week he returned, you'd have to wait till the following week.

I think you guys are misunderstanding this...it doesn't 'submit' your lineup...it just takes your highest scores once your players have played...

Say you have 3 QBs on your roster...your final total will take the one with the highest score for that week, and so on with RBs, WRs, TEs, etc...

So your final score will come from all 18 of your players each week and MFL will 'submit' the highest scoring players on your team within the starting line-up limits...

Thanks for the clarification . I was confusing myself. Now that system seems very good. I was completely off on my understanding.
