I tend to NOT rely on any e-mail notification. The draft is the most exciting part of this silly game therefore I check the league site as often as I can to see my teams status as my pick gets closer I will check more often or even pre-select.
I will say I was surprized at the progress made over the weekend. Usually we stall out on weekends.

Let me add this. I traveled from my brother's house in Akron OH Monday at 5:30am on a flight connecting thru Philly to get to Washington DC by 12pm on Monday. I then have a full schedule of meetings until the evening. Never had the opportunity to check the site, whereas checking emails is a bit more inconspiuous. Outside of that one pick, I've been turning around my selections pretty quickly.

I will enjoy crushing your team this year.
