This day is now a local day of mourning here in Massachusetts. Tom Brady gone for the season? Holy crap.... scared.gif sadbanana.gif

What does THIS do to the AFC landscape especially after the effort we saw from Indy last night and from SD ealrier in the day?

I still think Indy and SD are the teams to beat, but the things just got a lot more interesting....

Here my take on the whole Brady injury situation. Keep in mind that I love conspiracy theories and believe that everything is not what it alwyas seems.

I think Brady was already hurt. He was hurt before the Super Bowl last season and all during the offseason. The CIA (I mean the Pats) knew all along that Brady would not be playing this season. However, in an effort not to retard season ticket sales Brady waited until early in the first game to play out the injury. Would you buy a ticket package if you knew Cassels was going to be the NE QB all season?
Also, throw in the fact that for the first time ever Brady was not on the injury report before the game. That tells you right there that something was up.

This is just a higher being giving the public what it wants....

FAVRE vs. COWYBOYS in Superbowl!!

What game would get more ratings?

The old gunslinger, taking down the Cowboys. He still owes them a big time game loss because of all the butt kickings in the early 90s.

He is still the QB people want to see the most. I mean Peyton may be as popular, but kind of boring.

Before yesterday they had no shot at the division.

So with the easy schedule, they can get a bye in the playoffs, then play the winner of PITT/JAX who will be beat up.

Um, uh.... huh2.gif There was another guy in the grassy knoll, too. Send in Mulder and Scully.... laughing.gif

Selling tix is not an issue, especially for a single season. 15,000 people would have been scrambling to get any dropped season tix
even if they replaced the formaldyhide (sp?) in Vinny Testaverde's veins with blood and wheeled him out there for one more season, they'd sell out.

I DO believe in a more minor conspiracy theory that says that Brady's foot injury was real and not fully healed, but they took him off the injury report to hide that.

All I know is the (real, not fantasy) season just got a lot less fun for me. sick.gif
