Warning - It does not appear that MFL will allow a waiver move to be processed if the player being dropped is on the taxi squad. I thought we discovered the same thing last year, but it's come up again twice this week.

I could not find any definitive information on this in the MFL forums.

But we don't let a software glitch determine the outcome of what happens though...right? I mean, I still should get the guy I successfully bid on? think.gif

I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but the fact that it doesn't warn you is definitely a glitch. Until MFL addresses the issue one way or another, my thinking is that it's an invalid transaction to involve a taxi squad player in a waiver move. Otherwise, I would need to process waivers manually, which may not always be on time due to my travel schedule.

If anyone has strong feelings about it, I'm willing to listen.

I assumedly had the highest bid on McClain and the auto cut of Jordan Kent would have kept my roster legal at all times. How cut and dry can it get? shrug.gif

I understand that this may cause some examination of bids and extra commish time but......shrug.gif

I agree, it may take a little commish work this time since we were not aware of this glitch but Bushwacked submitted what he thought was legal request. If MFL allowed him to submit it this way it should have processed it. By not telling him it was an illegal submission he had no way of knowing. If MFL can't address it, at least it can be posted, from here on out that you have to take the guy off the DTS before dropping them, then the next time it happens it will be the owners fault.

I just double-checked the three players in question Cassel, Rosario and McClain. None of the three are actually eligible for the Taxi squad (McClain & Rosario are in year 2 and Cassel in year 4) so this whole discussion is moot. A player can only be placed on the Taxi squad in their rookie year.
