Steel Bunz is without electricity and she knows that she will not have it until Thursday or maybe even Friday.

She is way out of contact so she can't really dig for a drafter and certainly can't do pre-picks and what not.

What I am suggesting or better yet asking is what do we want to do about this?

1. Postpone draft until Thursday or Friday with the same start time. Only an option if we can all do it.
2. Wait until next Tuesday to draft and just play a double header for one week to keep the schedule balanced.
3. Force the draft to go on and find someone for SB.

Let me know your thoughts as I am happy with 1, or 2 and I am even open to more suggestions but I sort of hate to go with option 3.

I would see if we could find a surrogate drafter, and if not wait until Thursday.

Neither Thursday nor Friday will work for me unless you want to start later in the evening. Thursday is my daughter's Soccer practice at 6pm Pacific and Friday I have a dentist appointment (crown) at 5pm Pacific. I could do it tomorrow night though.

How about Saturday afternoon or evening?

May be a prblem. Have a mandatory work training workshop that day.

That sucks.

Or surrogate drafter.

A surrogate drafter is probably the best solution, w/ Grunge's situation, plus if she doesn't get power back, it just gets worse. Is a phone an option?

Id love to wait for Bunz if at all possible. Like Grunge, I can not do it Thurs or Fri and possibly not Sat, depending on the time. If we have to have a surrogate drafter, I guess that is always an option we can explore, but i would prefer it be a last case scenario.

I would be fine with next Tuesday too. What about a slow draft with contact info being used to let the next person know they are up? Just an idea.

Would prefer to draft live with Bunz and a night other than tonight would work better.

This kind of sucks.

We are pretty much all over the place with this problem. I can understand that the other nights are not a good option so that almost cans that idea. Slow draft is an option but really not one that I like as my time on the internet can go from a lot to none in almost no notice.

She left a voice mail for Sky to see if he could jump in there for her but I don't think that he has seen and I am not sure if he would want to or even be ready. I could ask a few people that I know are very good drafters to stand in for her but I just hate to do that without her calling the shots.

Do we wait a week? What does that do to the schedule?

If we waited a week then we would need to play a double header to keep the schedule balanced. We play each team one time in this league and that makes up the eleven week schedule. if we waited a week then I would suggest playing a double-header and combine week 3 with week 4 of our schedule that is posted at our site. I don't have a problem with this idea if that is okay with the rest and that means that we could all say that we can be here next Tuesday to get this draft done.

it is really bad timing to try to get this all worked out.

We got the power back an hour ago.....yeah. It was close though.....according to the grid, it was either tonight.....or not until Sunday. Whew!
I had it all set to get online tonight at my sister's....but not necessary now. FYI...I would have just gotten on at a library or something earlier in the week....but most of the libraries were closed down too. The only one in my area open was a 3-hour wait for a one hour time limit.

Anyway......here's to a terrific 2008 Late Bloomers Season!
