Sorry. I was out of touch all day yesterday. Didn't see sky's post or pm. Waivers are now processed.

Just got power back folks! Two-thirds of Columbus and my entire neighborhood and those surrounding us have been dark and closed down since Sunday @ 4pm. No schools, libraries...traffic lights....lol.....perishables at the grocery....nothing. But....nothing dire compared to the Gulf Coast.....so no biggie really. wink.gif We grilled everything in our fridge.....lol....made trail coffee....and still had hot water because we didn't replace the gas water heater this year with an electric tankless (TG for small favors).....WHEW! wink.gif

Sorry waivers were late!

Just a bump in the road. wink.gif

Glad you are all set up there. Correct me if I'm wrong but one "remnant of a hurricane" with some strong wind and the power is knocked out for 4 days? Who's running the electric company up there? OSU alums?

Well.....half our power workers in the state were in the Gulf helping out. They couldn't get back up here until Tuesday morning. And the 70+mph winds here were the strongest ever recorded in this area. I hear you though....a lot of places who "routinely" get hurricane force winds have all upgraded their equipment to withstand a lot more and probably retain many more workers in peak seasons.

This was sort of a fluke for us.

And BTW....we are on a cutline in the grid I guess, so that if we didn't get it back last night....it would have been off until Sunday. There are still about 125,000 in the central area in the dark.

On the positive side....not one frikken report of any looting. wink.gif AT ALL. I think that's amazing! No one is price gouging....everyone is helping neighbors....pretty terrific! thmbup.gif
