are we able to trade 2009 draft picks during the 2008 season?

I'm almost certain we are not
I don't believe anyone has in the 3 years I've been here (maybe it's been more than 3, I don't know

I do not see anything in the rules stating that we cannot.
Since this is a keeper league, isn't the 2009 season a given?

From the Trades section of the rules
* Owners can only trade draft picks, and players of the same season. For example, during the 2004 season, an owner can
not make a trade involving the 2005 season draft picks.
