But you just did say a word... several, in fact. wedgie.gif

As for me and trash talking, every time I open my yapper, I get a boot in it. At, or near the top of the league in total points, but only 3-2, and Selly now has a 2 game divisional lead with the tie breaker on me... definitely time to shut up and put up! bag.gif

This is a strange league. Few banter and yack, few trade, but ownership retention is high. A great commish and a good scoring system is part of it, but otherwise, this is a VERY quiet league. Just wondering out loud why this league is so different from every other laegue I'm in.... it's an enigma.

Despite being amoughst the leage leaders in points for, I predict a dismal loss yet again for the Lushes. Maybe this reverse trash talking chit will work.... shrug.gif

'scuse me while I go cry in my beer.... if anyone other than the 4 top posters in this league might happen by.... if it weren't for waivers, I'd wonder if half the guys in this league were dead or alive.... unsure.gif
Trots
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the scoring system.
Chief
I prefer any scoring system where my team out scores my opponent. Example, only the Eagles kicker can get points from their team this week...
Roller Coasters
It has been unusually quiet this year. I am pretty sure the funeral parlor atmosphere is in honor of the 2008 Roller Coasters.
I do have to say that this league has at least 4 times as much chatter as Poles N Holes. Nobody seems to like to talk over there.

While we're on the subject, I've never been a fan of negative points for fantasy. Also, my fantasy is scoring a lot of points - I prefer bonus points for longer TDs, they're most exciting to watch in real football so they should be more exciting (point-wise) in fantasy. Other than those things, the scoring works.

I like the scoring system. Defenses go as early as the 4th round... that makes the draft more interesting for me. Without that, the scoring system would be very vanilla... like far too many leagues are. I made sure I had two good D's on my roster so I could play matchups all year. The threat of negative points should make owners place a higher priority on getting a good D, instead of taking one in the last round like every other league.

Now, if ya wanna talk about going with IDP's... that would interest me! smash.gif

Sittin on the edge of my seat.... this Dirty vs> Roller contest is a real barn burner.... 45.15 to 47.5, in favor of the Coasters.... talk about excitement! scared.gif jump.gif doh3.gif

I musta drank too many beers.... and fell off the edge of my seat. So, RC, did ya pull this one out?

Does any of this ring a bell?

RC.... I'd be on pins and needles with the Brady foot injury... VY is just awful, and the RB's have ??? all over them. MaGahee, fine, but R Rice would have me worried about him too. Indy's O line is so banged up... Addai could struggle, but might get more outlet passes. I think Edge has gone over... the hill. Can't say I like the commish's WR's either.... Meachem looks like he's buried in the depth chart, and there will be an Eddie Royal sighting in week 1 before he disappears into the sunset when B Marshall returns.

Brutal Rov's, brutal. The lil duck has already put RC to pasture.

What a difference a year makes

2007 - through 6 games
785.45 points and 4-2 record

2008 - through 6 games
460.85 points and 0-6 record

That is 54 points a game less. Wow, I never thought it was going to be this bad.

The current record for fewest points in a season is held by Aliens and that was an 88.8 point per game average. The 2008 Roller Coasters are currently averaging 76.8 points a game. This could be epic.

Been there, done that... if that is any comfort! doh3.gif

yeah.gif Whew! That was close. I didn't want to be the first one to lose to Roller Coasters.

Just when I get a little momentum Romo gets hurt right in time for Warner's bye week. g-bash.gif
