The commishes may want to review some of the rosters...I believe there are a few teams who are over the non-homer limit....

3.4.3 Final roster declaration.
The final cut down date will be the Monday before the first NFL regular season game at Midnight Eastern Time. Each team must designate a max of 35 active players, 8 DTS players, and up to 3 IR players. On, or prior, to final cut down day, each owner must post a message in the league forum listing his
a.) active players,
b.) DTS players,
c.) IR players, if any, and
d.) The number of contract years for each player on the active roster or IR.

If a team does not meet this deadline, a penalty of 5 HFA$ will be imposed. If final cuts are not made within 48 hours of the first NFL game a new owner will be sought. Each team must have NO MORE than 8 non-homer players listed as active players at any time. Any team that exceeds the 8 non-homer player limit on their active roster as of kick-off of the first game of week one, will be fined 5 HFA$. An additional 5 HFA$ penalty will be imposed as of kick-off of the first game of any subsequent weeks until the team is in compliance. If during the season, the number of non-homer active players on a HFA team exceeds 8, due to an NFL trade, waiver or other NFL roster move, the HFA team will have until kick-off of the first game of the week to comply. After kick-off of the first game of the week the non conforming HFA team will be subject to a 5 HFA$ fine each and every week until said team conforms.

myself included... sad.gif So, if FA are counted as non-homers I will need the following players cut from my team.

Babin, Jason FA DE
Taylor, Courtney FA WR

If FA do not count as non-homers then none will need to be cut.

Thanks DW. I will try to look at it today if I can get on at work. Otherwise maybe our Roster Commishes can look at it. Also, we need to ensure the overlimit did not occur due to a FA pickup. If it did then adjustments need to be made nullifying that acquisition.

If I counted correctly the following teams are in violation:

Seahawks: 10 (after the cuts DW posted she wil be ok)

The Bucs are ok, even if it doesn't look that way at first glance.

Dre Moore FA DT ® is actually on the Bucs practice roster which means he is not considered a non-homer.

Went through the Seahawks and Chargers roster, there are no practice roster players shown as FA on their teams.

Actually Courtney Taylor is on the Seahawks practice roster...if you need a website for confirmation let me know. I think however, that once a contract is placed on a player, that player cannot be placed back on a practice squad...but we'd need a commish ruling on that one. Also, looking through the rules, we do not have a rule indicating whether or not FA players are or are not considered non-homers...we may need a ruling on that as well. And if your FA player is actually on your teams practice squad, wouldn't that make them a homer....?

Courtney Taylor is ok then. You can have a player who has a real-life practice squad contract under an active contract in HFADL2 and they will still count as a homer. It is difficult to catch however as MFL immediately tags practice squad players as FA since they can be signed by any team.

That puts your non-homer count at 9 without any drops.

ok...please drop Babin, Jason FA DE. I thnk that will take care of the problem... whacko2.gif too many teams to keep track of... smile.gif

Just curious, when did we decide this? PS players are hard to keep up with, especially since MFL does not track them. IMO they should be treated as an FA and not count as homer, complicates compliance enforcement too much, which is already a difficult process with waivers and trades happening every week. Did everyone who was in violation last week get into compliance on time?

Nothing to decide. If a player is pulls on a Seahawks jersey and is paid to be a player for the Seahawks, they are a Seahawks homer, practice squad or otherwise. The complications of trying to keep up with them should have no bearing on that.

CODE
5) No team will be allowed to have more than (8) Non Homers active at any time. There will be no limit on Non Homer DTS players.
6) Unrestricted FA's are not considered as a Homer player.

Since PS players are not unrestricted players, they must be a homer to someone. Common sense to say that they are a homer to the team that pays them.

I realize that it will be difficult to police. But in Seattle's case where Taylor was a starting WR and was then released and signed to the practice squad, I don't think it's fair that Seattle be saddled with a non-homer or a dead year and lost player when the player never really changed teams.

We cannot mimic the NFL in releases/contracts and practice squads in this fashion so I think that the current setup will allow for some form of leeway.
