Say teams A, B and C are tied. If A beat both B and C, that's the tiebreaker. If A beat B, but lost to C and C lost to B, then it'd be total points.
Same thing would apply with more than 3 teams: if one swept the others, that's that. If one lost to all the others he'd be out of the total points tiebreaker which the others would move forward to.
just trying to clear it up before we get to the end of the season, so in this specific case...
CODE
Franchise W-L-T Pct GB Strk PF Avg PF PA Avg PA Div W-L-T Conf W-L-T
The Messiah's 3-3-0 .500 3.0 W1 469.60 78.3 448.20 74.7 1-2-0 3-3-0
Lord Bill's 3-3-0 .500 3.0 W1 573.42 95.6 554.08 92.3 2-1-0 3-3-0
Crush Can 3-3-0 .500 3.0 L2 554.26 92.4 472.54 78.8 2-1-0 3-3-0
I don't remember who beat whom, but Messiah's Division record is 1-2 so he couldn't have swept both me and Crush Can Princess (still a great name).
Right now, it's irrelevant, but if there's an error today, it'll probably be the same error at playoff time.
Is the above standings correct and I'm not understanding the system or is there an error that needs to be addressed?
