post here any rules changes you might want addressed in the off-season. Trades / position scoring, etc.
my personal choice would be for players to get credit for kick-off & punt return scoring.
I'd like to see any player that started and scored a TD get the 6 points... whether it be a K/PR return or a player listed as a defensive player that scores an offensive TD. Same for an offensive player scoring a defensive TD. Vrabel as a TE, Troy Brown as a DB... or even those crazy plays where there is a turnover, a return, another turnover and a score all on the same play. I've seen that where say after an INT, the returner fumbles and say a WR picks it up and runs it in. Technically, the WR is a defensive player after the INT.
Simple... a player on your roster that you started scores a TD in any capacity... you get 6 points. Makes guys like Leon Washington a bit more valuable. I'd rather keep it simple... no points for return yardage and stuff.

Drop 48 hr Trade deadline........Commish approval up till 1st game time
so does that mean the QB would get 6 pts for throwing a TD - I would like to see that

In this league, you can win with an average QB because of the 3pt TD pass scoring. I kind of like that. Going to 6 points would serously increase the value of QB's. Changing it would affect all strategies... RFA, rookie draft, trades... if this change were to be implemented, I'd want a two year warning to prepare for it.
As far as trade approvals.... I think 48 hours is good, at least during the week.... I may not get on every day, but I do check things every Friday for injuries and the like. Maybe late week trades could be given shorter notice? Make a trade on a Friday before midnight... it goes thru?
I would also like to see two more changes:
2 points for a blocked FG
4 points for a safety. A safety scores two points for the NFL team, plus, it is a turnover.
The blocked FG is ignored in our scoring sytem, and the safety is undervalued.

Ditch the slow motion site.......it's part MFL part TOS ? ......never got the straight scoop on it but I hate it
IR, no max and must actually be on IR to qualify
We allow 2 wildcards per conference, instead of just 1. #1 divsion winner faces weakest wildcard, and #2 division winner faces top wildcard.
6 of 16 teams making the playoffs is too small in my opinion, when most 12 team leagues I play, also allow 6.

Good idea I would support this!

This is my 3rd year in DW and DW2. While I have made the playoffs in DW2 (and was quickly eliminated by Slick), it was nice to win the bye this year here and be assured of getting some prize money.
I agree, most leagues do allow more playoff spots, but I like the idea that winning a conference automatically puts an owner in the money for having won that conference. I know so much of FF is luck... especially in head to head play, but it is even more so in the playoffs. I'd like to see the two conference winners be assured of some prize money for winning over the course of the entire FF season.
That doesn't mean I am against the idea of more playoff spots, but if we did that, I'd like to see the prize payouts adjusted to continue to reward the conference champs for that year with prize money, less than what they are garanteed now as a 4th place finisher, but still, some prize money. I've seen dominant teams go unbeaten in other leagues and get cra-pped on in the first round with nothing more than bad luck as a reason, and they get nothing, unless the prize distribution is adjusted to award $ for most points, best record, etc.
I would be against adding more playoff spots under the current prize money schedule, but would be for it if the prize money schedule was adjusted in some way to reward a dominant regular FF season.
Same topic came up in DW, and these were my thoughts on it.
just consolodating rule change propsals...

id also like the IDP flex to apply to LB's
I've always been a fan of milestone bonuses.
100+ yard rush/rec
300 passing
8+ tackles
3 sacks
5 pass D
Add a pair of points for those game milestones. Just a thought.
Right now 6 teams make the playoffs.
Currently the #1 seed gets a bye to week 15, and if they win that game, they are in the Super Bowl the next week.
The other division winner plays the lone wildcard in week 14, with the winner advancing to play the #1 seed in week 15.
IN most 12 man leagues, 6 teams make the playoffs. This is a 16 team lead, and Id like to see an additional Wildcard make the playoffs in each conference. More teams in the hunt each year, with more playing for this year, and fewer playing strictly for the future.
To make this happen fairly, the season will have to end in week 12.
The #1 seed will still have a bye to week 15, as they do now.
The #2 seed, the other division winner will get a bye to week 14., extra incentive for a division winner
The next best 2 records will play in week 13 in the Wildcard round, adding another team in each conference to the tournament.
The winner of the Wildcard weekend will play the #2 seed in week 14, and the winner of that game will play the #1 seed in week 15, just as it is now.
To make the schedule fair.
Play each team in yoru division twice. That is 6 games.
Play the other division in your conference once, that is 4 games.
Play 2 random games vs one of the other conference divisions.
Right now in step 3, we play only 3 of the 4 teams in the other conference division, not all 4. SO it doesnt really make that much difference if you play 2 teams or 3 teams since we are not playing all 4 of them.
Thus a 12 game schedule instead of 13 isnt much different really, since currently we dont play every team in the other conference division each year as it is.

I like this better than the #1 seed not getting a bye like most 16 team league with 8 team playoffs.
im all for the weekly statistical corrections to be figured into the final scores. i know its a pain in the butt to find out later that you may have lost a game due to one, but right is right. i had never thought before about this until this yr when it of course cost me.............. point is that these corrections are not merely statisticians changing their mind, they are mostly miscredited plays, or simply plays where the wrong number is credited to a run/tackle. in the scenario i mentioned with my team in another league, not only did the non use of corrections ( the stat correction i knew would happen, in fact did ) cost me the win, it also cost me the top seed in my conference, guaranteeing me money, but also eventually cost me a spot in the title game as i would have won the semi game had i been automatically put into it via the bye week.
so, point is, money is on the line here and i would like to see correct stats decide who gets it.

I prefer to know if I won or lost after the Monday night game ends. There are more than one set of stat corrections that come out as well, so only the first set of corrections could be used for FF scoring adjustments. The other (agreed, much fewer) can come out for a couple of weeks after the games are played.
So, my position is that there are no "correct" stats, as they are never 100% correct, even after the Elias people finalize them. I look at it the same way I look at bad calls by refs... part of the game, live with the breaks which can go either way, for or against me. I think there is a whole lot more pain in losing on Wednesday than there is joy in winning on Wednesday.
This year I saw Gaither lose two tackles that were never corrected. Cost me a game. It happens. I enjoy Monday night football in a close FF matchup. Knowing that two days later that close win could become a loss puts a big damper on how much I enjoy watching Monday noght games. Instant gratification... that's what it's about!
