...how you draft with certain expectations/hopes, but half the time things turn out completely opposite from what you figured?

Was pretty happy with my RB depth/potential after drafting Addai, Bush, Graham, and Ricky a couple of months ago...fast forward to today -- Addai is out, Bush is out, Graham got mired in a timeshare with Dunn and got traded away for another timeshare RB, and Ricky is slowly but surely fading into uselessness. Who'd have thunk I'd have to end up resorting to stashing the likes of Faulk, Cedric freaking Benson, Ahman Green, and Leon Washington on my roster?

Sad days, these are.

I tried to give you more than fair value for Ricky Williams and told you then what a great deal you were getting but nope you weren't having any of it.



Hey and pretty soon, maybe even this week, the trade I did with you to grab Colston is going to start paying off.

Let's just say I'm SHOCKEYD I didn't accept that trade.

Shockey was only part of the deal. At one point I was willing to swap 2 or 3 picks along with Shockey allowing you to move up in a couple different rounds and if I remember correctly I was moving out of one round altogether. Don't forget I also tried to work another trade with you where I was giving you Ronnie Brown for picks. I also remember having a bad feeling at the time that both were really bad deals for me. I'm thrilled we didn't do either deal.

I would probably have ended up picking the likes of Burleson, Reggie Brown, Chris Perry, and/or Ted Ginn Jr. with those picks anyway......wash.

Probably. However, me not trading away Ronnie Brown for picks and some scrub really ended up being a great move. Sometimes, you're lucky and sometimes you're not. Thankfully you turned me down, otherwise Brown is yours now and I'm screwed.
