Brew Crew were led to their 31 point victory by a 36 point effort from Brian Westbrook, who beat the Atlanta Falcons defense for 167 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds in addition to 42 receiving yards. With this performance, Westbrook was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 8. In addition, Westbrook entered the OFTT 2008 Hall Of Fame with this performance as the 16th-ranked individual weekly player score in league history. They also got help from a 24 point effort from Donnie Avery, who beat the New England Patriots defense for 163 receiving yards and 1 receiving td.

Desert Cuckoos were helped out in a losing cause by a 24 point effort from Steve Smith, who beat the Arizona Cardinals defense for 117 receiving yards and 2 receiving tds. With this performance, Smith was the number 4 ranked wide receiver for week 8. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Jake Delhomme, who got by the Arizona Cardinals defense for 248 passing yards and 2 passing tds.
"Losing to Bud's team is embarrassing ," Desert Cuckoos coach Roadrunner said.
This brings the record for Brew Crew to 3-5, and drops Desert Cuckoos to a record of 5-3.
