AFC
1) Colts 16-0 (first round bye)
2) Steelers 13-3 (first round bye)
3) Bills 11-5
4) Broncos 10-6
Wildcard
5) Dolphins 10-6
6) Raiders 9-7
Broncos will host the Dolphins and the Bills will host the Raiders. Nothing really shakes up in the AFC.
NFC
1) Falcons 13-3 (first round bye)
2) Cowboys 12-4 (first round bye)
3) Vikings 12-4
4) Seahawks 11-5
Wildcard
5) Saints 11-5
6) Panthers 10-6
The NFC playoff picture comes down to the last possible game. If the Saints can win one of their games (vs. CAR or vs. GB) they will clinch a playoff spot and the Redskins will be out on total points tiebreak. If the Saints win both games, they will clinch the first wildcard spot and Carolina will take the second wildcard at the expense of the Redskins. The Skins double loss is critical as they are at risk.
The Vikings' double loss costs them a first round bye although the division was already locked up. The Falcons and Cowboys both post double wins to clinch their respective divisions and clinch first round byes along the way. Total points becomes big in the NFC as three teams finish 12-4 on the year.
The Pack get the chance to play spoiler on the Saints who have their playoff destiny in their own hands. MNF decides it all.
