I am afraid I am going to have to give up the Dolphins next year... I am going to have to cut a lot of my leagues next year. Getting married in July and then HOPEFULLY getting in the CHP police academy shortly afterward.

P.S. - I feel that alot of "crummy" teams are not returning because they don't think they will have a playoff team in the 2009 season. To get out of a dynasty league, during the 2nd year, is pretty silly in my opinion. I do understand people are "cutting back" their leagues next year.....but is it fair to "cut back" on a league that hasn't even finished it's first full season yet. If you were in more leagues than you can handle, maybe picking up a dynasty league isn't the best route, considering it takes the most effort. If some of these teams that are jumping ship next year were currently
13-2, i'll bet that they wouldn't be so quick to not return.

When I joined this league I did so with full intentions of making it a 1 year deal as I told FBJ. I have been in HFA since it's inception and will continue with the Ravens franchise there. When I did finally agree to join for the year there was nobody interested in the Ravens and I did it so the league could get off the ground. If I were fortunate enough to be 13-2 I would still be sticking to what I said when I joined anyway.

As an aside, is it really necessary for you to be calling into question anyones decision on whether or not they want to stay?

I don't see anything in the rules that says I can't

I also made this a 1 year comitment to get things going. If I was asked to make a 2 year commitment, I would have declined.

All that said, I won my division, and see no reason why I wouldnt be in the hunt for things next year. My team is pretty decent, and whoever takes it over should be set up nicely. So to make the comment that people are quitting because they dont have a good team is not 100% correct.

As one of the top teams (Steelers), I'll have to let this league go. Well run and a great group of owners, I just got into too much this year with a new child in August and now I am exploring pursuing my Master's degree.

I jumped in the middle of the rookie draft when the original owner had been gone a while w/o contact. I like the league, format and the team I had, but since it was one of my last leagues to join, it was also one of my first to go. The Houston team is in good shape with maybe 1 hole at LB. Other than that, its pretty solid in every other position.



But funny.

Yep when I first chose the Dolphins, as one of the first several teams taken, I fully expected them to be a winner...

Joe I am very sorry to do this but I think I am going to have to bow out, I appologise for this but time for me this year especially around important times of the year for fantasy football will be of a minimum, I have my own wedding this year which I figured I could some how work around but now I have 3 friends also getting married throughout the yar also in bad times for pretty much all of my fantasy leagues so I really need to cut back.

Once again I apologise but I really don't think it is fair if I continue as there is no way i could possibly devote the time i need to with the year I have ahead of me.
