Free Agency deadline is start of week 13 games. That would be Thursday morning.

I'd be open to looking at moving this deadline back like the other weeks, but it is clearly stated in the rules, in multiple locations, that the deadline is the kickoff the week 13 games.

The main reason I can see to keep it as is is, it gives an albeit small but real advantage to owners who's players play on Thanksgiving. If someone has a player who starts in the 10am games or later they will have no opportunity to replace an injured player for the playoff run, while the owner of a player who gets hurt on Thursday has an opportunity to restock for the playoffs.

I'll treat this as with other in season rule issues, if there is a unanimous vote to change the rule, I will do so.

Believe that can you can set the closing date as part of the set up Dan. Doing it that way would preclude anyone making a mistake in the future.

We might want to visit this rule at the off-season meeting, but personallly like it the way it is. Add/drops being stopped at the start of the Thanksgiving games gives no one an advantage if I read your example correctly. Whether you have a player in the Thanksgiving game or not you still can't do anything about a player getting hurt that day if the WW is closed at the start of the first game that day.
