Why are teams allowed to do FCFS waivers moves after the Thursday games have been played (for players who played on Thursday)? In other words, it's no different than someone picking up a player after they've played their game on Sunday. Shouldn't players be locked once they've played for the week, until the waivers process starts? I'm thinking it's a Thanksgiving "loophole" on MFL, but regardless, it doesn't seem right. I'm not asking that anything be reversed or anything... just something to be aware of next year.

I don't like it either. I've noticed it in a few leagues this year.


After 1st game has started all FCFS should be on lockdown, imo.

I don't like the idea of not being able to make pickups after the Thursday games have started, necessarily, which could cause problems if you have an injury or late announced inactive player on Sunday. I just think that the players who have already played on Thursday should be locked, no question.

On a "normal" week with no Thursday games, it would be the equivalent of being able to pick up a player who played an early Sunday game AFTER they've played... Most leagues leave the FCFS waivers open for players who have YET to play, not those who have already played.

I also have noticed it in multiple leagues... not something exclusive to this league. In fact, I bet it's something MFL needs to address more than anything, not necessarily the commissioners of leagues across the board.

I thought I had our league set to close the FCFS at the start of the Thursday games. I haven't tried to pick up any players after the Thursday games, so I haven't caught that it was set wrong. I will definately check the settings more carefully.

Also, from here on out, only the playoff teams are able to make WW moves. No Toilet Bowl teams can pick up or drop any players.

I tried to pick up a player during the game and it wouldn't let me. then I noticed after the game someone picked up the same player. So maybe it only lets you do FCFS after the game is over.
