1. Decimal scoring will be used for field goals longer than 30 yards. A 31 yd FG will be scored as 3.10, 32 yd FG will be scored as 3.20, and so on. All FGs of 30 yards or less will be scored as 3.00

2. Credits for the entire season will be raised to 250 due to a FCFS period being implemented in the 2009 season.

3. FCFS (First Come, First Served) period will begin each week during the regular NFL (17 weeks) season (no FCFS in pre-season). It will start every Saturday at 9 am PT/12 noon ET and run for 24 hours ending at 9 am PT/12 noon ET on Sunday.
~ Each player added will cost 2 credits
~ There is a 2 player move limit during each period
~ Any adds that put a team over the 16 player limit will not be allowed
~ All players dropped will be locked until they clear waivers the following week
~ Once a team's credits are gone, no more FCFS will be allowed for that team

4. Blind bidding will be processed through the MFL waivers and no longer accepted through email. Deadline for bids will be Thursdays at 9 am PT/12 noon ET. Format, adds/drops and credit system for bidding is still the same (I hope!)

-go to a ppr:

rb's= .25
wr's= .50
te's= 1.00

-fcfs fa after our ww.

- like the decimal fg, but think we need to increase you proposal a touch:
under 30= 3
31= 3.1, etc.

40= 4.5
41= 4.6, etc.

50= 7.0
51= 7.1, etc

60= 10.0
61= 10.1, etc

I'd rather hold off on PPR for right now as I think that would be too much added to next year...but definitely something we can address for the 2010 season...

There will be a FCFS system in place next season...

The FG system proposed is adequate and simple, and since we did away with the bonuses for 100 yds rushing/receiving and 300 yds passing many years ago, I don't see why we'd need extra points/bonuses for longer FGs...think we should just keep it simple for at least next year to see how it works and if we want to put in bonuses for longer kicks this should also be addressed for the 2010 season.

JMO, but I would rather stay away from PPR.

I like having a little variety in my leagues, and pretty much every other one has some kind of PPR system. I just don't see any need to make this change.

In my local we made the switch to kickers using decimal scoring a couple years ago. Everyone likes it. Only difference is we went the whole route with decimals...doesnt matter if its below 30 yards or not. a 28 yard FG is worth 2.8 pts.

A 1 yd rushing TD isn't scored 0.10 in your league by chance is it? shades.gif

i don't necessarily want to go crazy with kicker scoring, just in thinking about it --> a kicker who breaks the record by, say, kicking a 68 yarder only gets 3.3 more pts than a 35 yarder. just doesn't make sense to me.

as for ppr= i like it because it accounts more for a player's invovlement in his team's success than not having ppr. the staggered scoring also gets te's more involved in scoring.

as a redraft/potentially re-auction, if something is not liked we can change it the next year.

It's not that I like or dislike it. I do think adding PPR takes away form the challenge of finding the studs, though.

My point is that amost every league I am in has gone towards a PPR type format. One of the attractions to this league is that is has not.

EDIT: It's kind of like the playoff format. Only the top 4 teams make it, and it takes 14 weeks to get there. Almost every other 12 team league I have seen does 13 weeks and six teams. The difference is nice.
