When Aqua was sick and then later left us I made a promise to myself to play this year for for him....

I was certainly not as close to him as other however given the fact that every one of us has been touched personally by cancer in the past I wanted to do something for him.

My son was fortunate 6 years ago to detect a very deadly form of Cancer in his leg. We (he) caught it early enough that he is free of the disease and lives a very rewarding life. Very privately I wanted to win this year because internally I promised to send all of the funds to Aqua's widow.

Great year everyone...sorry to see you go down Pengy and I guess I know it is not done yet but if the 2008 Barefoots hold out to win this will be my most rewarding FF victory.

I want to thanking everyone for making this season the best that it could possibly be under the circumstances.

Thanks to Mountain Man taking over the "Locomotive Breath," not an easy thing to do, and doing a hell of a job representing!

Thanks to everyone that has already sent in or still plans on sending money to Aqua's wife Audrey in his behalf (or in behalf of some other charity.)

Huge thanks to Skippy for the original heads up and all the ring leading he did last spring and early summer. A true Champion in my book and a life long friend, to Aqua, to me and to all of you.

One last comment for the 2008 Season. The East is still here, we just took the night off in remembrance of our true brother Aqualung!!!! We will return again in 2009 to dominate RAGE as we were originally intended to.

One last thing here, and I hope you don't get offended. I was hoping that most of us would be donating any 2008 winnings to Audrey/Aqua Lung know several of us were, possibly all of us.

I am thinking about starting a 2009 contribution to them as well. If we do not get unanimous support I'll make up the difference. Heck, I paid for the 2004 dues in it's entirety. We could make it that 1st, 2nd & 3rd each get there $30 entry fee payed for the following year and all additional monies go to the fund (or any new fund we create.) This is a good thing, none of us is prospering of off this money, it's all blown away, clubbing,Hububing etc. | Let's finally make a difference!

I can take a supportive role if need, my email is public to the RAGE members and several others.I'd like Skippy to be my point man initially before branching out, but I'll take a shoot at whatever's needed.

Classy move sending your winnings to Audrey as a memorial!

I'll be around if we get deep into discussing future arrangements. I am in favor, although would toss out as an alternative maybe making an annual donation to the Jimmy Fund/ACS/ or similar charity in Audrey's name as an option if we were going to permanently make the prize money a donation.

This is why I love you guys.

I am in favor of setting something up and I know that Audrey loves all you guys as Rich spoke of us enough that when he became very ill and was not able to speak or even write a message, she somehow knew to get hold of us. I really do think of Rich and Audrey often. I wish that she was a little closer to Pittsburgh as I am certain that she and I would be true friends. She is that kind of person. I know that what we, Rage and the Huddle, did for Rich and Audrey really did touch her in a way that made her realize what a special group we can be.

Classy move you guys. I'm in favor of donating any future money. Of course that's easy for me to say considering I never win any. But if I were to ever win something I couldn't think of a better way to spend it.

Like Mike I don't often cash in this tough league, but I would be interested in adding to an annual gift fund for the Aqua family in the name of Rage, possibly as a Christmas gift. I would actually prefer to make it separate from FF winnings, as there is still some perverse joy in getting that pay-pal or check from the league! Perhaps next year a couple of months before Christmas, some one could set up a fund, and anyone wanting to contribute can add to it.

And Merry Christmas to all of you and your families. I've got a house full- with one daughter, her husband, and 4 kids staying with us, and the second daughter, her husband and one kid joining us every day for festivities! Chaos but fun!

First and foremost I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to da Barefooted guy. Its been a long hard road but you finally did it brother, well done. Second I wholeheartedly agree with Pengys suggestion to contribute our meager dollars to Audrey or whatever charity that she deems worthy. Youse guys are the best.

Where do you guys want me to send the money - to each individual winner (1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and highest weekly score) and then they can get it to skippy or whomever is handling the charitable donation or do you want me to send it directly to skippy on your behalfs?

I'm a bit down right now due to work related issues but I am never out and this will all pass for the better in 2009 and beyond. I'm cool with whatever you guys decide on the annual gift, but like Beach, I'd prefer to keep it seperate from the league fees too. I enjoy having a little money on the line at the end of the season to root for. Perhaps if people can afford it we can just raise the league fees to $40 or $50 or something like that and then have like $200 go to Audrey (or a charity of her choice)?

Or if that makes people uncomfortable or some people can't afford that right now, we could just make it optional each season (i.e. maybe this season you can only afford to send the $30 entry fee but next season you want to send $50 or $75 or something like that and whatever is collected over the $360 prize pool goes to the gift)?

Like NJ, Beach and Pengy I also would like to do an annual contribution to our Rich's family from Rage but think we can do it separate from league fees and still have it be meaningful.
