A “Prize” thread will be started on the message board to allow team owners to designate whether they will choose to offer a prize or a straight $30. If an owner designated a prize, specific details regarding that prize should be included. The top four finishers in the league will choose prizes or cash form the bottom four finishers in the league. The middle four teams are off the hook for prize/cash payouts.

PNFFL Champion will have 1st choice of whom they will collect from, etc.

In the meantime, the Bottom Feeders are encouraged to list their prize etc. they will offer to the Elite.

* It is not clear (to me) who the bottom feeders are. If you look at who made the toilet bowl, Box O' Rocks should be there instead of Slow Momos. If you look at the regular season standings, Bye Week should be there instead of Queer Eye 4 FF Guy.

If anyone has time on their hands to research this and the history of the League, please chime in.

Shouldn't I pick before RC, since I won the division and he was the WC? Unless this means I get to pick before him in next year's draft.

It's probably not a good thing for the noob to be a whiner but.... I may have to shell out $30 as the bottom four but still am the 6th pick in the draft next year?

draft order for 5-12 are determined prior to playoffs/toilet bowl. 1-4 are determined via playoffs

Last year, I did not qualify for Toilet Bowl competition, but was in the bottom four by regular season record and had to offer a prize to the winner. I think this would mean that you escape the embarrassment of being one of the payers.

I'll take a prize from TBD. They're awesome.

Hey...seriously......I think our final season standings are based on our Waiver Wire sort criteria (with the exception of the championship bracket teams). While our brackets for playoffs are determined by the Divisional standings (Standings) sort criteria (based on the tiebreakers mentioned in the rules).

That would mean W-L record, then total points. I'll have to back out a couple things because of that weird "15th week" added into 8 teams' standings. MFL strongly suggested that we don't try to delete that week......so I didn't. You'll see on the homepage that some W-L records add to 15.....and 4 add up to 14, like they should. (This was the reason our playoff matchups were screwy for a day in week 15).

So draft picks 1-8 will go by the Waiver sort criteria......with 9-12 being DoDidit, The Beast, The Blind Squirrels and StickyBunz.

**EDIT: Per FW.....draft picks 1-10 go by regular season standings. Only 11 and 12 are affected by the SuperBowl.

Good work. However, I think you've got something wrong. For the Draft Order, the rule is based on finish of regular season with an adjustment of Picks 11 & 12 which are based on the PNH Championship Game.

OMG......she got a new avatar!

Czar......you'll like this. I've been watching ALL my disney tapes deciding which ones would be OK for my 18 month old niece. You know......not too scary.....etc. (No...I have no children, yet have acquired about 20 Disney films over the years......go figure.) I ruled out Snow White for this year.......LOL. I saw it in the theatre when I was 3 and was scared to death by that queen.

I ended up giving her 101 Dalmations, Aristocats, Fantasia 2000 and The Jungle Book (my personal favorite) this year.

Cruella De Vil was a tossup.......but since everyone else in the film makes fun of her and the song is catchy, I thought she'd love it.

I don't know when it was that I realized my animated avatar wasn't animating anymore, so I grabbed the old Czarina pic and threw that one back in there the other night.

The TB is set up so that it includes the worst team from each of the 3 divisions......plus a WC. You made it out of the TB because you had beaten each of the other two contenders for the WC once H2H.

But....in overall standings...W-L, then points.....you were in the bottom four. Now.....I can't speak to how these rules were determined back at the beginning of this league (maybe CC or FW can explain their reasoning), but it's always been the "bottom 4 pay the 4 SB contenders", regardless of qualifying for the TB or not.

I guess I can understand it to a degree......seedings for the POs have a LOT to do with divisional standings. And clearly......you can have the worst record in the toughest division and STILL not be one of the 4 "worst teams." But I agree it would make it a lot less confusing if we changed one or the other. ie...4 worst teams in the league play the TB, regardless of division.......or......4 TB teams pay the 4 SB teams.....period.

I only say this because WHAT IF, by overall standings, your team was IN the top 4.....but you didn't make the SB bracket?? Not sure if it's ever happened.....but it could happen. Why wouldn't your team get a prize, even though you didn't make the POs? Seems a little lopsided that we would have two different sets of criteria for determining who gets a prize......and who gives one.

Just an observation.....doesn't change how it's determined THIS year. But maybe something to discuss for the future.

And for what it's worth, this is one area in the PNH rules where it kinda sux. It always is the source for some questions and invariably some bad feelings. I think we should somehow clear it up in the off-season. It seems to be revisited in some fashion each and every year, and I have better things to do at this time of year than to try to justify/explain a rule that is confusing/annoying/(insert adjective here).

bottom line...per the rules and PNH history, you're responsible for the prize (as am I).

Money is fine. Paypal or whatever is easiest for you.

I don't have any bad feelings about it at all... I was just confused when I saw the notice that I owed. But that's the way it is, and that's totally fine.
