As much as I hate to do this, I want to give you guys as much time as possible to find a replacement. That's right, I unfortunately must leave this league. I need to cut back just beacause I'm in too many and losing my job put this one on top of the list.

Is this at all dependent on you getting a job some point in the next 6 months or this going to happen regardless of getting a job or not? I just ask because I think you deserve time to see what happens over the next several months and not have to make a decision as of yet. I'd hate to lose you in the league.

I'd like to give you up until next June to decide to stay or not. Due to the economic challenges we all face, maybe lowering the entrance fee to $200 may be a option as well.

Good points by both, especially the time part. If you gotta do it we understand but would like to give you the benefit of some time to see if things improve for you. Best of luck and hope to see us all back.

i've got a friend who i'm in some other leagues with who is badly wanting to get into a higher dollar league. if we need to fill a spot, i can do it. i would rather keep kid, so we can see if things pan out for him. my friend is good to go if/when we need him.

Thanx for the support guys. I'd like to say that this is just about economics, but I have to pare things back. I'm just in too many leagues to really enjoy things anymore. As much as I hate to, I'm probably going to drop out of another BoTH league as well.

Kid Cid, +1 to what they all said. Dont worry about Fantasy Football right now. Check back in during the summer, maybe things will be a little different. I wish you the best of luck during these crazy times!

+1. I won't be returning in 2009, either. I just don't care about fantasy football anymore. Besides, I barely even come to the Huddle these days. My interests lay elsewhere; career and family, mostly.

I can see many leagues going unfilled this coming season due to scaling back. I'm getting out of 4 leagues as well, but will continue in the Empire , as it's one of my favorites. Many of you know, I'm a plumbing contractor in new construction and this economy has really killed my income. We are very fortunate to be linked to the only builder in our area that is staying very consistent. Hopefully things will improve for all of us effected.

If anyone is struggling as I am, then I would love to vote to decrease entry fee by $50 or something. We could also eliminate the weekly high score payout , which costs owners $650 for 13 weeks to help, while leaving the winners with the same payouts.

As of right now, my vote is to keep all things the same (entry, payouts, etc), but of course if that makes the difference to many people I am open to change. Things are tight in my household as well, but this would probably be one of the last leagues I'd drop because the high dollar amount keeps me interested.
