I think this is a simple no brainer but I like to let everyone be heard just in case there is some crazy reason to say no.
I think we should just set MFL up to lock the Thursday, (early game), players and then run FCFS right up until 1:00pm on Sunday.
What say the rest of you?

yes
FCFS up until the player's kickoff. MFL can easily do that.
Some players aren't determined until the Sun night or Mon night game. If my opponent has all his players going at Sun 1pm ET, he has the latest and greatest information to make last minute moves before his games. If I have players who are GTDs on Sunday night, I'm cheated. The latest and greatest information isn't available yet when you're trying to lock down FCFS moves on me at Sun 1pm ET.

Eloquently put.

You are very correct. I don't know what I was thinking up there but yes this is the way that I would also like it to be set.
I think we will just pop this thing to the top after our draft on Tuesday just to get everyone to realize that we can do it this way.
Wait one second.
I don't know what I was reading when I said that Rhino was very correct. Help me figure this one out.
Can MFL lock players that are in games that have already started? What I mean is how can we have FCFS pickups running after the 1pm games started without thinking that someone will grab the backup of the player just crushed in one of the games.
Yes you may have the dreaded GTD for a player but that is what your bench is for. That is what waivers and FCFS are for up until the kickoff of Sunday action. I don't think we are sitting waiting to pickup a player based on the GTD being made at 4pm for the 4:15 game. I think we are just waiting to plug in a player that will play.
Help me understand if I am missing something here???

I'm not sure why running FCFS right up until 1:00pm on Sunday would be a bad idea.

Yes, MFL can lock players that have already had their games started. But those who have not started are still available for moves. It's the same way for line-up changes. You can change the status of a player (start / bench -- or -- add / drop ) until his game begins. Once the player's game begins, he is LOCKED.
Okay Rhino, I get it now.
We will start the season with FCFS right up to 1pm on Sunday but I will open a new thread right after our draft to see if we want to keep it going un until each players game actually starts.
