As far as the preseason meeting goes we have four yes's, two probably's, and three maybe's so far. Most importantly zero no's.

We still have nothing on the agenda for a few months but I'd like to get the commits ASAP so we know whether or not we still have spots to fill.

There was a water outage in the whole area. The place we ended up at was right on the fringe or we would have been at McDonalds at the ferry terminal. LOL

I will make sure and call on Sat to make sure they are open on Sun.

I will be there to resume my tradition of picking 10, 11 or 12 out of the hat for the first round.

I found it particularly amusing that last year sky took the spot I vacated and picked 1.

Two things:

#1, I'm still at maybe as to whether I can get there or not. Do we have a time that the meeting is taking place?
#2, The M's and Red Sox play @ Safeco on Sunday. Is FX still viable even though it'll cost $40 to park within a mile?

After a little internet sleuthing....

The first pitch of the Sawx-M's game is scheduled to be at 1:10p

We could try to have the meeting unprecedentedly early, say 10am start, three hours before game time. I would think parking would be ok that far ahead of the game, and we'd all be leaving against traffic so that shouldn't be a serious problem.

Any other viable idea is MORE than welcome. Sorry, I can't be of more help, I have very limited experience in the big city. I come from a small town where the biggest traffic problems are when the local church lets out on Sunday.

i am the first "no" - sorry fellas i will not be there. I will actually be in bremerton that day playing golf @ gold mountain.

As for the draft..... are we having it @ my house again ? Can't remember if we decided on the location or not.

The earliest that FX opens is noon. But if they day is as nice as they say it is supposed to be it wouldn't be a problem hanging out in one of the places down the block from there until they open. I am sure those places are open by 11 at the latest on a day of a game. Plus the parking in the stadium lot across from FX is pretty cheap on game days isn't it? I think so.

I'm down for FX myself....but if someone can come up with something else that everyone can agree on in just a couple of days...I'm fine with that.

Parking prices could be outrageous. It's Bostons only trip to Seattle this year. I would expect event parking to be pretty high. I am not sure if FX will be able to guarantee parking or how much it will be to validate. Unless Sky really wants to drive, I think I would rather walk across.

Today is Wed. We need to make a decision soon I would think. Either that, or cancel and work something out via email where everyone responds.

I have the whole day set aside for this meeting, so early or late works for me.

I also have the whole day free, if that opens up other options, I'm open to hearing them.

The side lots have been up to $50 for weekend games, so it would be reasonable to expect the Qwest Field lot across from FX to be in that range, which is ridiculous for our purposes. The main advantage to meeting early in the AM is that there is street parking on Sundays. The main disadvantage is that you might have to drive around for it and walk a bit. Personally, I'm not available until after about 3pm on Sunday, so I'd be in favor of waiting until later in the day, but even then, FX could be run over by drunken Red Sox fans.

Would waiting until after memorial day be an easier/more convenient thing to do?

If we stick to weekends, on Saturday, June 13th, there's a 7:30pm Sounders game @ Qwest. A noon meeting would definitely avoid this and parking should be pretty doable. Sunday the 14th is father's day, so I figure we'll probably be mostly busy then.

Is there someplace besides Pioneer Square we can go?
