I will be returning.

I have been back and forth with my decision on whether to return or not. I originally said I wouldn't be (for more than one reason) but the closer we get to the season the more I feel pumped about it. The other thing is that it looks like many Huddlers were/are bailing from the league and I don't want to be part of the issues of having to try and find replacements to keep the league going. Plus, guys like TOS, Doc and MikesVikes are class acts.

Undecided at this point... I love the format, but unfortunately, with so many people dropping out, it's tainted as far as being a true measure of who can excel (move up) in this type of league. There are other things that I like (18-man rosters, blind bidding) as well, but I just joined a 2nd (and 3rd) dynasty league here at the huddle , so I'm thinking this MIGHT be where I can cut back to compensate for that. We'll see... I'd say I'm 50/50 right now. I'll give you guys plenty of notice, either way.

It is what it is. I completely understand your point of wanting out of the Ladder. With the lower entry fee, the big selling point was to climb the Ladder competing against the best the Huddle has to offer and that is simply no longer the case, especially with a lot of big names bailing out. This just becomes another league and in my opinion can no longer be considered "The ladder" as it really hasn't worked as it was designed to. I think the idea of filling the spots and just competing within the division or even opening it up and making it a highest points league versus head to head are ideas as well. As it is we name a Huddle Ladder Champ by comparing every league's top scoring in the last week. Maybe instead of worrying who climbs the ladder each year since that doesn't really matter any more, we can just throw all the names in a hat or use one of the numbers from the dice roll to slot the divisions and create new divisions and play different Huddlers each year, still finding and overall Huddle Champ the same way we have in the past as that has the most merit any way.

Whatever happens is fine by me and I'll play along.

Count me in! I wouldn't want to disapoint the other Practice Squad graduates that have been patiently waiting for an opportunity to get their revenge!

Maybe we should downsize the number of divisions we have.. It could help

I guess we could do that too but then that would affect the winners from past years. I just think that we should reshuffle divisions every year using the dice role. Role 3 dice- the first # stands for the division we'd be in (higher #s go in the HoF and so on down), the 2nd stands for our draft spot within that division (highest # gets 1st pick and so on) and the 3rd could serve as a tie-breaker for either of the first 2 (highest # wins tie-breaker). You'd get to play all different people every year and you could do a head to head within the divisions during the regular season and playoffs and just like past year's the highest point total in the final week earns the right to be the Overall Huddle Ladder Champ. Then in the Off-season, reshufffle again. You'd still be paying people out for winning their division and for being the overall Champ and yet it would add some excitement each year with the reshuffling.

I'm out, I'm afraid. I have 10 leagues and it's really at least three too many. I had a disastrous season in almost all leagues and that's because I really suck at this I didn't have enough time to pay proper attention to any of them.

I would prefer not to leave but if I'm to keep playing FF at all, I must.

We better turn this into a one division league or else LGEF is gonna either croak trying to get to the top or the Huddle won't be in existence any longer for it to happen.

This might be a moot point with all those not returning (plus I am not 100% sure that I am coming back), but I thought I was back up into the HoF division, by finishing in the top 4 of my league last year. Am I missing somthing?

the placement of teams for 2009 haven't been made, so don't read into any posting of the divisions yet. If your in the HOF, then you'll be placed there when I get everyone accounted for.
