I talked to DMD and he said if we wanted to offer things for sale in this forum that it would be ok to do so...however, we can't control who posts what they want to sell or who says they will buy something from you so please be careful since we don't want anyone being scammed...the reason I asked about this is because I know that I have a few items I am going to be looking to sell and I would rather offer them to a huddler then to try and sell t hem via Ebay, Craigslist or even the local paper....I don't think we will have any problems but just wanted to put it out there for everyone to understand that any sale or purchase is at your own risk.
now does anyone have any feedback if we should just have 2 threads(one for SELLING and one for Looking to buy) or just let people post their own threads if and when they want to buy or sell something?

I have some pretty nice sony/minolta lenses I wanna sell, but, I don't think there are any huddlers who could use them. have to sell them on ebay or dyxum 
I think this could be a good resource for people looking to buy/sell point-and-shoots, though, for sure. and possibly for some canon/nikon dslr gear.

A suggestion...
One of us could act as the middle man/women. That is, receive the money from the buyer, wait for it to clear (whether PP, check, whatever) and when it does notify the seller to release the goods. When the buyer receives the goods, the middle man/woman releases the money to the seller.
True that's a slow process, but it's just a thought.

i dont think that is needed...the seller should just wait until the payment clears but I guess if someone wasnt sure about a person they could ask a 3rd party to get involved

one thing that i have seen done is to have a Rep Thread, where people can give
honest feedback on what the seller/buyer was like to purchase from/sell to.
example: 'keggerz was great to buy from. all lens' where exactly as he described, shipping was fast
and everything was packaged and protected very well'.....etc, or a bad rep if needed.
i know a lot of people know each other here, but there will be times some will not know others.
