Ok – so it looks like we have only a few decisions to make, and we will have completed our transition to a full dynasty.
Those things are:
1 vote on whether the active roster should be expanded to 20 or 22
2 vote on a final number for the Taxi Squad
3 vote on capping D/ST at 3 per team
4 vote on whether or not to eliminate the “3rd Place Bump”
5 Decide the date for our rookie draft: which is usually before the week prior to Memorial Day, so that’d Monday, May 18th which is 3 weeks from this Monday.
6 Decide on the Veteran Draft Date, keeping in mind it won’t be more than 7 rounds either (deoending on vote #1) , and should take less than ten days. I’m going to suggest Monday, August 24th which gives us over 2 weeks before opening kickoff.
7 TS cuts. I would like to float the idea of allowing a full plus 7 being added, then a cut back to 15 or 16 over the summer before the Vet draft and then a final cut for “locked rosters” which would be back to 12. This vote may take a round or two for clarification….
The tricky thing here is that some teams have 10-12 players on their TS and others have 7-9. This vote becomes two parts: should we expand the TS limit to 15, and meet that number before or after the Vet Draft?
Last year we didn’t enforce cuts on Taxi Squads prior to the Rookie Draft, so unless there’s an ask for a vote, we’ll proceed along the same lines. That means that your TS is locked, in as much as you can only add to it via our draft. So everyone is +7 for their TS, and these “plus spots” ARE NOT TRADABLE.
