I'm getting pretty fired up for Fantasy Football and so I figured I'd take a look at our league calendar. Looking over the calendar, once again everything carried over very nicely from last year. I noticed that the start date of our draft also carried over and while it would be a piece of cake to change, I thought that it wouldn't be a bad idea to get your opinions on the current date and kind of draft. The draft is set as a slow draft to begin Friday, August 21st, @ 6:00 am. If you've been having a really restful offseason and aren't aware, the 1st NFL game is on Thurs, Sept. 10th, giving us about 21 days to complete the draft and run our first round of blind bidding and FCFS add/drops before the first game. The first blind bidding period begins on Sept. 6th @1pm and ends on Wed. night, Sept. 9th @ 9pm and then FCFS begins immediately afterward.

Slow Draft- Starting Friday, August 21st at 6 am.
Whenever is fine with me. Between Trey & I we'll always pick pretty fast.

I'm on a fishing trip from Aug 28th through Sept 4th. During that time I'll probably have access to a computer only once a day. The rest of the time I'll be able to draft very timely. Don't make any changes on my account, just a heads up.

We usually draft pretty quickly but with this news we may move the draft up a half a week or so. We'll see what everyone else says.

Earlier is better and other than thie above week, I'm usually never more than 15 minutes away from my laptop during slow drafts.

We'll see what happens. I usually don't like to draft too early in August as I like to see as much of the preseason shake out as possible. However, starting somewhere between the late teens and August 20th wouldn't be terrible.

Live draft would be fun but since we're all over the place and have various commitments it's probably impossible to find a day+time that works for us all.
Slow draft will have to do again this year. No blackout dates for me in the August/Sept timeframe...yet.

Slow works best for me
I do prefer a live draft because I cannot access MFL at work. I realize we will probably stay wih a slow draft.
Made it work the last 2 years. We are also planning a camping trip in August. Not sure of the dates, but will
always have my cell phone.
I will be moving the start of the Slow Draft up to Friday, Aug. 21st at 6 am to hopefully allow for us to complete the draft before Panhead leaves for his fishing trip on the 28th. Even if we don't complete it all we should be in the late rounds.

The draft type and start time work for me.

I don't usually travel in August.
