Brewer hasn't been on the board since February. I sent him an email today. We're starting the process a little early, but hopefully he checks in sooner rather than later...

Sure... But, This year General Itals is making all keeper selections for all teams. He's already declared for you... So, you are keeping Kerry Collins, Matt Jones & Ryan Longwell. Championship!

You are going to have to explain that. I haven't received keeper nominations from any of the league members to date.

Edit to add: All keeper selections will be made privately to me. When all keeper selections are in I will make them public to the entire league.

On our league website if you look at the rosters for each team it shows a draft position for 3 players for each of them. I thought that that is what that meant.

I see... I think that is just a carry over from last season. You are probably right that the players with rounds and draft positions next to their name were kept from 2007 to 2008.

No keeper selections have been made to date.

The tentative draft date is August 30th. That would make August 16th the absolute deadline to make keeper selections.

I did a little research on the first draft spot taken by seasons passed 12th place team. We have been using this method for three seasons, soon to be four. The first two seasons draft order were determined by randomization.

2008 Season - yo mama selects the 12 draft position
2007 Season - Jelap1 selects the 12 draft position
2006 Season - Piranha selects the 1 draft position

The way our keeper rules are set up the meat of the draft begins in the 4th round. That make the 12th draft position the 1st pick in the 4th round. It looks like Brewers team has three viable keepers making the 12th draft position appealing...

I also have a feeling that if Piranha had it to do over he would probably go with the 12th draft position for that 2006(the first time using this method) season.

So... I'm going to put a two week time limit on this pick. If Brewer hasn't made his selection by Monday, June 22nd he will be given the 12th draft position and we can move on.

As an FYI, draft order has always been chosen before keepers were announced.

Yep, I think I hadn't grasped the concept of starting the draft in the 4th round with 3 keepers.
