So, how'd you do?
DO Jaded
I'll start.

My goal was to trade some of my LB depth for a solid rookie QB. I ended up trading my 1st next season for two picks, one of which I used for the #3 QB rookie, and then traded Kirk Morrison for another "potential" QB stud and a pick. I also needed to address my WRs and DE/DT, as my top performers there are getting old. Details below.

1.10 Harvin, Percy MIN WR I was hoping for Maclin here but I think Harvin may be just as good, if not better if Minny signs Favre.
2.07 Freeman, Josh TBB QB This is hopefully my QB of the future.
2.10 Maybin, Aaron BUF DE I know I jumped early here, but if he stays a DE, he'll be solid.
3.07 Massaquoi, Mohamed CLE WR
3.10 Turner, Patrick MIA WR
Both of these picks were just to keep filling the WR stable.
4.03 Levy, DeAndre DET LB Traded Morrison for this pick and a QB prospect. This guy could easily be better than Morrison and I have the time to wait.
4.10 Barden, Ramses NYG WR Tall strong NYG WR. I'll give it a go.
5.10 Barwin, Connor HOU DE Could play opposite M.Williams, or at least be his backup should super Mario go down.
6.10 Maiava, Kaluka CLE LB Grab a backup for D'Qwell Jackson, just in case.
7.10 Stephens-Howling, LaRod ARI RB If Beanie Wells gets hurt, this kid could be the steal of the draft.
Savage Beatings
Slow Momos:

1.03 Beanie Wells, RB ARI - Mixed reviews on him so far, but has the opportunity to start and could be a stud.
2.03 Hakeem Nicks, WR NYG - Still can't believe he fell this far... very excited to get a WR of his caliber at this spot!
3.03 Andre Brown, RB NYG - Big dude... should get some love at the goal line this season, but still has a lot of competition in NY.
4.03 Traded
5.03 Brandon Tate, WR NEP - Another VERY talented WR falls to me. Has some injury & off-field issues, but also has huge upside.
6.03 Clint Sintim, LB NYG - He'll get plenty of opportunity to be on the field. Fills a need and was the highest ranked LB I saw left.
7.03 Ryan Succop, PK KCC - Meh, Big John scooped my guy right before my pick, so this was kind of a throw away.

Overall, I think I rocked this draft! Nicks should have gone in Rd 1, and Tate should have gone in Rd 3 or 4 so I found great value twice! thmbup.gif

DEAD MONEY

Draft Set Up
Traded Julian Peterson & 2010 round 2 pick for 1.01 and 4.01 (2009). Needed to continue rebuilding mode.
Last year traded my 2009 picks 3.04, 4.04, 6.04 for 2009 1.08 (other 2008 players involved)
Last year acquired 2009 pick 3.09 & 4.03 in two trades

1.01 Moreno, Knowshon DEN RB --- Needed RBs in a big way - what better way to start?
1.04 Brown, Donald IND RB --- Would've taken Brown/Wells/Crabtree here - whoever fell to me. My first choice was Brown, so I was pretty happy. Move aside, Mr. Addai.
1.08 Maclin, Jeremy PHI WR --- Was toying with taking Green as a 3rd RB right here, but it got down to choosing between Maclin and Hicks. Would've been happy with either. As a Giant fan, stayed away from Hicks so not to get too attached to him. I'm happy w/ Maclin, but if I had to do it all over again, I'm not sure that I wouldn't have taken Hicks instead. BTW, if he's a bust, he gives me another reason to hate the Iggles.
2.04 Heyward-Bey, Darrius OAK WR --- Was hoping Hicks would somehow fall to me here or that LBs Laurinaitis & Maualuga would be there, but all three went in the three picks before 2.04. Settled on my 4th offensive rookie, Heyward-Bey. IMO he's pretty much Boom or Bust. I'm betting on BOOM with a very high ceiling.
3.04 Traded away
3.09 Peerman, Cedric BAL RB --- Foregoing defense here - again. If and when he gets the opportunity, Peerman can be special.
4.01 Davis, Nate SFO QB --- Would be happy w/ Davis - who may end up being the best of this QB class, but knew DODit was rebuiding his QB stable and was willing to move Kirk Morrision. So, I traded Davis & 4.03 to acquire Morrison which fills the gap left by my pre-draft trade of Julius Peterson. It also gives my draft more balance as all my other picks were on the offensive side of the ball.
4.03 Traded away
5.04 Traded away - at this point, I had 2 picks left (5.04 & 7.04). While there were still some players of interest for me, I traded both picks to Pills for a 4th round 2010. I had a bloated roster and knew I was going to have to make tons of cuts anyway. Also figured I could grab 1 or 2 in FA.
6.04 Traded away
7.04 Traded away

I set myself up for a successful draft, and aside with having to settle on Heyward-Bey (not too shabby) at 2.04 instead of my targeted players, I think I answered the bell.
Sugar Magnolia
Only my second year in a rookie draft so I'm still throwing darts. Maybe y'all should tell me how I did?

1.06 LeSean McCoy RB(needed to handcuff/replace Westbrook but thought the best player on the board was Maclin
2.06 Kenny Britt WR (best WR on the board but don't like he plays for TN
3.06 Clay Mathews LB (regretted this pick since he plays in a 3-4 scheme-Darin had him here so I took him
4.06 Louis Delmas CB/S (actually wanted Chung here)
5.06 Everette Brown DE (really dropped in the reg. draft and here too-seemed like a good value)
6.06 Vontae Davis S (went for the best value I could find)
7.06 Jason Phillips LB (ditto)

I know I am very weak in rookie drafts and IDP and to make matters worse I drafted without renewing my Huddle membership. Like Sugar, I would be interested to see what the IDP/rookie draft vets have to say about my draft. I am also hoping Stafford can beat out Culpepper and sart this year as I could really use him. Unless Favre ends up in Minnesota which I hope he does so the packers can pick him off 4 times and sack him 8 times.

1.05 Matthew Stafford QB-Det I probably should have went McCoy here but drafted based on need. I need a QB and am hoping Stafford is the guy because I do not like Sanchez and figured I needed to get Stafford here. However if Crabtree fell I was going with him.
2.05 James Davis RB-Cle I was looking LB with Maualuga so I wanted to target a high upside RB with an aging vet in front of him. This could be huge if he pans out.
3.05 Bernard Scott RB-Cin He had an amazing college career and if he can get his life turned around he is like above, he could be huge in Cincy. and he just has to beat out Cedric Benson which should be pretty easy.
4.05 William Moore S-Atl I figured I should get someone on defense and my preselects had DeAndre Levy #1 with Moore #2.
5.05 Tom Brandstater QB-Den this is a complete shot in the dark. He has good size and being in Denver with no Jay Cutler I thought what the hell for a 5th round pick. I dont know if he would have been drafted had I not taken him.
6.05 Gerald McRath LB-Ten I read in the IDP forum, or some portion of the free IDP rookie guide he was a sleeper and could produce 1-2 yeras down the road so I have someone for the taxi sqaud. smile.gif
7.05 Javarris Williams RB-KC He was the highest on my predraft list, also ranked Maiava and Freeman above Williams.
