Next, what do we want FLS to be this season? Last year, as we all remember, was a bit of a clusterfuck (my apologies) with the late start and all. Do we want to continue as a redraft like '08? Or we could try to remember where left off with keepers in '07? Or we could start fresh as a keeper league with the same or revised rules.

1st choice would be to be keeper league again with a brand spanking new draft this year and next year you have to keep 2.
2nd choice would be to keep people from 2007 team

I agree it should be start fresh and some form of a keeper.

However, wasn't a big fan of our past system really. At least as far as a team being able to trade a middle of the road draft pick for a keeper quality player at the deadline every year. That always annoyed me. Wouldn't mind tweakin' that part somehow. Not sure I have a great but simple solution to that either.

Maybe something as simple as increasing it to 3 keepers?

one thing you could do would be to just eliminate the time limits on keepers. get rid of expiring "contracts", and there's a lot more incentive to keep keeper-worthy players around rather than send them off as soon as you're out of contention. it also eliminates a lot of the incentive to tank, where the top pick can get you a 3 year crack at an LT or AD type.
