The relevant current rule fragment is included here:

Weekly trading is allowed up to 9AM ET one day before the first game of the week.

Trade Deadline for the season is 9AM ET one day before the first game of NFL week 11 (Thursday, Nov 13, 2008).

All trades will be monitored/approved by the Trade Commish. If the Trade Commish is involved in a trade, then the League Commish will be responsible for monitoring/approving the trade. If the Trade Commish and League Commish are involved in a trade, then the Asst. League Commish will be responsible for monitoring/approving the trade.


This proposed rule change does three things:

1. Removes the weekly deadline (in red above) and therefore allows trades to occur at any time before the season deadline
2. Removes the need for the Trade Commish to monitor and approve all trades (in blue above)
3. Requires trades to be automated on MFL

We will have to retrospectively deal with any issues arising.
