I didn't say I can't draft, I said I'll have limited availability. That means I'll be able to check in once or twice per day. I'll try to pre-draft as much as possible to not slow things down but the possibility exists that you could be waiting on me some time that week.

I'm not saying that we should start sooner either. I'm just telling everyone now that you could have to wait a bit during that time period. Now, that being said, if people stay on top of things, it shouldn't be too big of a hassle. In Dash-4 we typically wait until the last week to have a slow draft and we get it all in.

I really hate starting any draft until after the first two weeks of training camp are finished. That's just me, but the injury bug can bite really hard. If people want to start earlier than that, I'm good with what the masses think.

I say we start on the 24th. No reason we couldn't pound this out by opening day as long as we set time limits for the slow draft.

I have some drafts on 8/22 and 8/29 but they are both online. I can multitask and do multiple drafts at the same time, so no conflicts.

However, I am for starting the draft now.

Although the Huddle Ladder : Practice Squad got a 12-team, 18-round draft done in a week, but everyone was committed to doing it. If we can get a similar response here, then we'd need to start by Monday, August 31 at the latest for game one which is Sept. 10.

saturday august 29 and sunday august 30 are bad for me (drafts). both days are also bad for bier (same two leagues), the saturday is bad for opie and the sunday is bad for SLD.

Saturday is is our local league draft... Sunday I have the wedding... but Cork It! is a slow draft, yeah?

I leave tomorrow for 5 days out of internet reach (maybe).

We can't expect much for weekends, let's get this crap rolling and just assume that a majority of the participants are available during the week.

As for draft conflicts. I am driving down to St. Louis on Thursday, will be out of the pocket for most of Friday and Saturday and then will be driving back to Grand Rapids on Sunday. I will have internet access at least during each evening, so if it gets stuck on me, I can both pick and preselect for the next round (or two).

I also start teaching again on Monday, so if I don't pick immediately, it is probably because I am in class; but I will pick as soon as I get back.

I'm coming in to STL for Labor Day weekend without the wife and kids. Perhaps we could meet up then sometime depending on how my scheduling works with my family and my "local" draft.

I preselected my next two picks. I teach from 10-11 tomorrow (Wednesday), have about a 15 break in which I will try to make my next two picks and then have meetings and classes back to back until 4:30. (all times Eastern)

I'll be in and out of my office on Wed. - leaving for a concert around 2 PM - I can check in when I get home before we leave. After that, my stepson has his phone setup for access during the break at the concert.
