I would like to use League Safe for our finances this year. We talked about last year and wanted to give it a year and see how it went. It seems to be successful and there are a lot of league using it this year. I would like to because the end of the season is the crazy time at school for me and I'm away at a couple of conventions. I always end up getting the money out later than I would like. With league safe, they will process the payments the day after the season.

I would like to set it up so there are the least amount of costs. There are two options for payment. The free option is for everyone to use an e-check transaction. If some members want to use a credit card instead, then we have to select the other option, which charges 3% for either credit card or e-check. I would prefer to use the e-check method and save everyone $1.50 or more if you are doing the NFL Picks pool.

At the end of the season, you then have three options for getting your money.
1 - VISA gift card with your winnings as the balance. You can use the card anywhere VISA is accepted, including ATMs and banks. You can get the cash from the card by using your ATM or bank. This payment option is free.

2 - Electronic transfer - You can have them transfer the money directly into your bank account. This is the quickest payment method, but also the most expensive at $5.00

3 - Traditional paper check - Get paid the old fashioned way with a check mailed to you. This option costs $0.99.

If you choose the e-check payment and the VISA payment option, it is completely free. This will save everyone the usual Paypal fees.

For Rovers and perch, I still have your winnings from last year and I can transfer them into your account for you. If there is anyone who is still uncomfortable with it, you can send me your check and I can transfer it into your accounts as well.

I looked into this for a new league I commish... just too expensive, went with snail mail.

I asked RC to keep my $45 in winnings... so I owe 5 more. How would that work? The more I looked into league safe, the less I liked it. If I have a vote, I vote no.

How is it expensive? We would use the free method of payment, and you have two options if you are a winner that is free or costs 99 cents.

I'm sure they are making their money on the interest of the league's money for the four or five months they have the money.

That would be almost $1.50 in postage plus the cost of three envelopes. That's a pretty hefty fee for 5 bucks, but if it will make you happy, I have lots of tape!!! I aim to please

I hate doing finances over the computer, but I like the fact the winners will get paid the day after the season ends. I'm willing to give it a go at least for one season.
