Gents,

I have had 2 people interested in taking on Bob's team. Both of these people have stated it would be hard to take a team that doesn't have the 1,3,5 picks. Both had made recommendations which were similar to each other (although 1 of them was asking for way too much). There is someone who might be interested in the team and he has proposed something that I would like to bring to the league as I believe it to be fair with a slight modification:

As you know Bob has traded away his 1st, 3rd and 5th round picks. Here is the e-mail I received from a potential owner who I would like to bring into this league (I compete against him in another league...Bob knows his as well and suggested him)

Hi Scott,

I think the big issue for me is the lack of options and inability to compete. From what I can see the previous guy traded alot away and didn't get much in return (ex: 3rd rd pick & Walker for McGahee).

From what i now understand about the format and potential keepers for other teams, I believe this team will still be badly handicapped. But i think it's doable if i were able to keep 2 players without a pick drop, with the understanding that only 1 of those players can be from the 1st 3 rounds (Lynch, Boldin...etc). So basically giving me a 1st or 2nd rounder and an additional 4th or 5th rounder...

Andrew

I think this is a fair approach for a bad situation with one change. This means that realistically he will only be missing a 3rd rounder and his league fees should be $ 50 for this instead of $ 35 ($ 50 is the value of the 3rd rounder)

I'd like to hear others opinions before I make the final decision. Please chime in

I really don't care. If you think it's fair that's fine by me.

As it turns out I just spoke to Andrew and he has accepted to enter into the league with the original understanding ($ 35 league fees and keep 1 player without a draft pick penalty. That player will retain the same draft pick value for future years.)

We have our 12th owner. Andrew will be posting here shortly.

12th owner? that means Peeboys is in?
Andrew
Good evening!

For those of you who don't know me I play in the sister league of the PAFFL called the PPAL. I was the former commish there but due to time constraints...etc, I resigned and i'm now just helping out the commish and running my team. I have done very badly in PPAL and I expect to be terrible in the PAFFL, but don't worry, i will be back next year shades.gif

I'm in 5 other leagues, all Dynasty or Keepers and I'm an Eagles fan. I like to trade and i like to negotiate and I will most likely be on the website daily all year long, so feel free to send something my way & definately expect to get an offer from me.

Looking forward to talking with you all!!!

He called TOm Upton today and led him to believe he was in. I should know more soon. He was away on vacation I believe.
T bizzle
Pat peeboys is away on vacation. I was able to get a hold of him via text. He said he would take care of his fantasy leagues (he's in my other league too) when he gets back. His email changed so he didn't get scotts early emails.

Welcome Andrew.
Andrew
anyone know if the MFL site information is correct regarding picks & players on roster?

I believe the roster info is correct, except where you see "FA". Scott needs to figure out what player was dropped because FAs take-on the round of the player dropped (I think). The divisions and draft order is from 2008, though

Hey Andrew-

Welcome to PAFFL! Glad to have you here.

In addition to everything else Andrew has done for PPAL, he's also prone to put some very inappropriate, errr, I meant interesting images of the ladies and the occassional poll (i.e. Who's the hottest Red Head? or Who's the hottest Latina?).

Glad we were able to make the best out of a horrible situation that Fat Ass (aka Bob) put us in.

Looking forward to seeing you all at Nick's. I can almost taste the beef fries!!!!
Liverlips
Welcome.

So, you are paying $35 dollars for his team while we pay $100 for are team? Plus getting an extra draft pick? Nice deal.

I assume the person winning the 2010 championship will be out the $65.

Either way, good luck. You'll need it. rolleyes.gif

Andrew,
the most accurate place for draft picks/order is here - pinned up on the huddle PAFFL forum. i wouldnt count on the MFL site for that info.
in about 2-3 weeks (my guess) the trading of picks will heat up. i forget the exact procedures, but the trades will be posted somewhere here (huddle) and it will be up to you to maintain an up to the minute draft pick tracker if you want 100% accuracy.

Actually, Scott has been pushing for us to make all trades via the league site since it makes his job easier. I think he's been traveling, which is why the site just got renewed and isn't up-to-date yet. Still, some trades to get posted here, but it's not a rule or anything, the league site is the rule.

Absolutely correct! The MFL site should be used for trades. I didn't realize that when I went to roll over the 2008 league to 2009 that none of the data came with it originally. The Rosters and Draft order should be correct in the 2009 league site. I am still going through the 2009 site to ensure that everything is there. Give me a little bit of time. You can and should use the 2009 site for all of your trading. You don't have to post on the huddle site but everyone does like it.
