Good post. I went back to the rule book earlier today and noted the draft requirements on my cheat sheets so I wouldn't louse it up.
This is the only league I'm in where the draft requires anything other than the ability to field a starting line up. What's the rationale behind all this exactitude?
When the league was formed it was designed to be very simplistic & low impact so that potential owners who felt they wanted to participate, but didn't have much time for another league could still play. The main idea was to have the most emphasis on a persons ability to draft well. The design came from a combination of rules compiled from the Huddle IDP Handbook league & Fusion. The Handbook league had the same format where your draft was yours, no trading picks & you had to fill very specific requirements. In Handbook you also were not allowed to trade during the season & had a very limited free agency, but for the sake of a continual redraft league whereas Handbook was never really meant to be, we loosened up the after draft rules a bit.
