With the hall of fame game last night I started feeling nostalgic and excited about the upcoming football season. This league has been a staple of my fantasy football life for literally years and years now. I am willing to step in and commish the league along with my wife. She is disappointed in the thought that she waited several years to get the opportunity to play just to it end to soon. I think between the two of us we can effectively keep the league going. Let me get a head count to see how many teams we get together. Once we gather teams, we can dice roll and get the draft date set up in short order.

I've got the fever too. My life has gone through profound changes since we started this so long ago. My son and I will be drafting in our local (New Mexico) league on the 24th, but I hate the thought of not keeping the Dugout flame burning. I will send a profoundly-worded, persuasive messages to our regulars who are on the fence. If we can just get our list of commitments up to 9-11 teams, we can fill in the extra spots with new recruits. I appreciate your help with the commishing duties.

I've sent out the invites to everyone who played last year. We will definitely need to fill one spot but maybe more. Afterward, we can get ready to roll the dice!!!

But I have a family vacation planned for the last week in August - I'll be in New Hampshire from Saturday Aug 22nd to Saturday Aug 29th.

If that messes up our draft plans then I'll bow out.

I still favor the slow draft format. Even if somebody is on vacation, the proxy picks have always kept things going smoothly enough.

I concur. Slow live drafts are much more fun in my opinion. And we usually finish in less than 2 weeks. We've got plenty of time. We just need to get started.

Has anyone heard from RuCrazy or yellowdog in awhile. I need to finish getting a head count.


As well, we will definitely need 1 maybe 2-3. I know a few of you have a couple of guys who will be interested in joining the league. Let me know.
