I'd just like to say this "slow" draft is the slowest I've ever been in. I had one person in front of me, woke up at an insane hour, saw the person logged in, waited an hour... they logged out...no pick. lunch time for breakfast. If people are intentionally waiting for news to come out before making a pick, it's an unfair advantage IMO. Slow is ok, and if you have to work ok... but this is too slow IMO. We're all supposed to know what we're doing right? I'm just sayin'... how long does it take to make a pick?

feel free to rant as you wish, but this is too slow.

and, if anyone has any generic draft comments, I'd like to throw out the WR's are the "in" thing this year.

The problem is that once the pace of a draft has slowed down, people come back less often to see if they're pick is up. Then it gets even slower.

Here's some good reading. link

I guess my point is, is that if you can log in for 10 minutes, that's long enough. There are people waiting 2hours plus between picks. We all signed up for this, and like I said, if you have to work or something comes up OK, but if you can log in then make a pick already. If people are waiting for news to come out (not saying they are) before making a pick, it's an unfair advantage to the people that just pick when they come up and can log in. That's all I'm saying. Being able to log in for an hour, but not make a pick when you're up is not cool IMO (unless there's some explanation).
BS Miscreant
I'm not even involved with this specific draft but I've gotta back Thews up on this one. I've seen the log in, linger for 10-15 minutes, log out with no pick and don't get back on for several hours thing as well and there's really no excuse for it. If something's going on that created this issue then post to let people know. If not then make a pick already. The point of the 12 hour clock is not to give you 12 hours to mull over your choice when your turn comes up. The point is so you don't miss your turn while you're at work or have gone to bed or some such thing.

Like rabbit holes in space that lead to nowhere based on nothing, opinions are like holes.
Practice squad team opinion… two cents.

#1 - Opiates: Don’t like the Bowe pick, the Royal pick shows the homerness, the Cooly pick in the 4-12/5-1 slot was too soon. Overall impression: meh g-yawn2.gif .

#2 - Mr.Ted: I like this team the most. Wins SB w00t.gif .

#3 – tyler: Don’t like the Jackson pick and Welker was too soon. Overall – not so much.

#4 – pirates: Solid squad with playoff potential.

#5 – Jax: I don’t like the Moreno pick, but I like the rest of them. Prepare to advance next year after making the playoffs.

#6 – tazinib: Jumped on the WR buzz draft this year and made up for it with some decent RB’s. I like the team… playoff potential.

#7 – DigitalD. Don’t like the Portis pick nor the Bush pick. < .500

#8 – TFord: Don’t like the Ochostinko pick. <.500

#9 – Avernus: The old school RB/RB/RB worked, but I’d trade before the season starts. I like the Gates pick, but I’m partial to TE’s. McNabb has never been on one of my teams so I’m biased. I like the team and it has playoff potential.

#10 – titans. Marshall pick was too soon. Decent… middle of the pack missing the playoffs.

#11 – ca$h: Solid team with playoff potential.
#12 – Dexter: Overall…meh.

Btw, I agreed with everything that Thews said. Not sure if that came across or not.

it's extremely tough to make a trade due to my bye week heel situation at RB...

in a likely situation, I'd have to move either Turner or DeAngelo and the rest of the league clearly values these two players less than I do which means I'll have to wait until the season starts to make a move...

and I personally like McNabb's weapons on offense because while the OL is in shambles right now, it is going to be at least a lot better by week 1 even if it isn't running at full speed (ala John Runyan likely signing)
