Well, this was the first year I didn't have any good trade fodder to dole out to the needy masses. So, instead of having an extra pick or two, I had to trade one away for Ryan Grant. That said, I really like all three of my keepers -- and the 1.02 slot is nice as well. I count five "premium" players available there.

AS I said in a PM to you, I miss my trading buddy this year I am pretty happy with my keepers as well, even though I don't yet have a RB but I do have 1.3 and Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson and Mr Brees. I think there are defintely a good number of early picks to be grabbed as well.

I will have the first pick pre-selected before the draft. I can't promise I will be able to make the 1.11 pick if it comes up before I get home from work, depends if I get any breaks tomorrow. I will keep you all posted if it's going to take me a while for any reason.

We have a ton of time to get this done and let's remember Cap'n S is working his ass off pre-deployment and Swiss already is on the far side of the planet. We all have working lives to attend to and family stuff and whatnot.......we'll get 'er done - let's all bear with it.

Uh-Oh, draft started early. Draft time wasn't set up to not allow picks before tomorrow morning, so I thought I was making my pre-selection but the pick went through, and subsequently so did the 2nd pick.

I am going to regret this I know, but I had just a little bit of hope that Pills or Swiss would grab Wayne instead of Westbrook and Portis

As for actual "Draft Commentary"...

I think it was the shock of the FF season for me when Gil drafted his 4th RB with his first pick after keeping 3 already. I was extremely pleasantly suprised to find T.O. fall to me after trading up to get either him or R. Brown. The team is rounding out well with starters, but it always looks nice on paper.

AS I said before, I am shocked that I got Reggie Wayne even though I don't have a RB as of yet. I thought for sure that either you or Swiss would take Wayne, but you are both RB whores

Wasn't so much "whoring RB's". It's not usually my M.O. to have more than 1 RB that early in the draft, but I looked at the drop off after Portis, Westbrook and Brown and thought I would be screwed if I didn't take one of them to start.

Anyone know Doug's availability? I couldn't find where he posted how available he was/wasn't.

ETA: just saw his email sent yesterday morning about the new job. Hope it goes very well for him, I'm sure he will check out the draft when he has time.

As for trading down in the 1st I still got one of the WR's I was targeting and actually my #1 in Houshyourmama, and actually with TO gone it made my decision much easier. Now hoping that moving up in the 3rd will work out.

After 1st hand witnessing the horror of the Seahawks 2008 season, I am gunshy to draft any player on that roster this year. I love Housh and hope he has one hellofa season for my boys, but he won't be on my team in a non-ppr league.

I have been trying to set preselects for my 5.03 pick, but MFL will not let me. It only allows me to preselect for the 4th round and that is a keeper. If someone wants to call or text me if it gets to me I can give them my pick then 301-788-7709

i'll call you if the following does not work...

go to draft where you would enter your preselects. instead of entering a player in the 4th round, scroll down to bottom and go to Round 5 NOW. hopefully, this will correct the issue.

Sorry guys, but I have a 9am - 4pm MT meeting on Wed and Thur. Then, I have soccer practice start at 4:30, which is 45 mins away from the office. For the next 2 days (Wed, Thur), I will not be able to check in and make draft picks until the evenings of both.

If I'm lucky, I will "reply all" on the MFL Draft Emails with my pick, when it's my turn. Can I lean on a commish-password-owner make the pick in MFL for me?
