Okay folks...I have checked on the availability of the players that have been drafted in the HOT group, and they are still available for PT preselects.
With that said, you may fire when ready! Officially the draft starts at 9 AM ET tomorrow, so no pressure. but please feel free to make a pick if you want to today.
Was a tough choice between Tomlinson and Peterson, but I just couldn't turn down 6 games against Oakland, Denver, and Kansas City.

I thought about Tomlinson at 2...but I had preselected someone else. Either way, I had AD as the #1 in this scoring. For me, he is the best player and lowest risk in the draft.

My top 4 ranked in order wer AP, MJD, LT and then Turner. I might have gone Forte instead with the #4 but I have him as my RB1 in one of my locals and just wanted to hedge my bets so to speak.
Very happy with DW in the 6 hole. Would have taken Forte if he was still there.

Some effing idiot was looking at the wrong draft report when determining available players for the second round pick.

Started 3 drafts this week and somehow ended up with Randy Moss in all 3.
I think I may have to change my team name to The Mutos!

I think I can be happy with Calvin Johnson at 2.11. I think I can.

We are cruising right along. Not keeping up pace with the old timers, but then they have nothing else going on in their golden years.

Squeegie is lightning on the draw...
I'm just hoping we can finish this thing in less than a week. I propose we vote next year on whether to do another slowwww draft or go to the more traditional method of knocking it out in a couple hours.

Just FYI....while we have knocked down from 4 leagues to 2, we haven't officially changed the rules process, which essentially is that the rules are up to the members of the commish team. We have tried to take input from league members, because after all it is as much your league as us commish peeps, but when we were running with 4 leagues and 48 people the thought of a league voting process was insane.
If we were to go to a league vote process, then we would have to figure out how we would deal with the scenario where the two leagues vote differently (I imagine a "tie" would mean no change).
This is something I can bring up with the other commishes once we get drafting under our hats. I would guess that the HOT group would be unlikely to want to move to live draft, but you never know. Time will tell

EDIT TO ADD: I linked to your post in the commish forum so that the HOT commishes knew that this was brought up. I will report back any discussion that goes on.

I sent a text to Sir Loins. I know he is in the restaurant/catering business, so I would not be surprised if he were tied up during the dinner hours. I would check back a little later tonight for progress

I had a few players I was targeting at this turn, and they all went right around my picks. I was away from my computer and without my stuff, but I knew Roethlisberger would make a fine
back-up quarterback

Sorry for the delay. I thought I would be able to draft Fred Jackson with that first pick and the Chris Henry with the other. Donnie Avery was also a consideration. I was probably not going to look at Chester Taylor until next round, so I can;t complain about that too much.

I was actually considering Fred Taylor instead of Chester Taylor, but New England's plethora of RBs scared me a bit too much.

Hey, I am a Pats fan and they scare me!
Fred Taylor has been too good for too long for him not to take advantage of the situation in New England. Unless he gets hurt I think he will be up over 200 touches and carve out some nice games. I just don't have faith in Maroney, and Morris and Faulk have to get old someday (Okay...Morris is younger than Taylor, but Taylor has a ton more talent)
Preselects are getting more popular, so I preselected my next round. I want to get the picks a bit closer to my turn befoire I preselect again, so I will check at about 4pm ET and then not again until about 9pm.

That titanic gets me every time, too.
The geezers are at 15.06, too. We have to beat them to the finish!!!!!
Don't worry...they will get winded in the final 100 yards, and if that doesn't happen, we'll loosen a few screws on their walkers.
