1.13 -
Drew Brees - I win

2.06 -
Calvin Johnson - Two picks, no RBs? Hello, Ryan Moats!

3.13 -
Cedric Benson - Surely he'll stay out of trouble in Cincinnati

4.06 -
LenDale White - My own personal touchdown vulture
My high risk team this year:
1.18 QB Tom Brady, Patriots - 8
I had Brady or Manning pre-selected here. I wanted a QB that will get 30+ TDs and around 4000 yards. Never want to be the owner that gets the 18th best starting QB. Hope Brady doesn't come out gun shy. Also hope he comes out healthy.
2.01 RB Brian Westbrook, Eagles - 4
Had Calvin also pre-selected in case Westy was gone (highly unlikely). Westy was the only RB at the pick 19 point that could get me top 5 production. If he's healthy... He's already back to practice and may play in the next game. Here's to a very shaky start for my team with two guys coming off injury.
3.18 WR Jason Witten, Cowboys - 6
The #1 option in a good Dallas offense and Owens is gone. Had Witten and Gates preselected at this point in the draft. Since I'm drafting from the last spot, I'm just taking value. I think Witten puts up near enough stats as a low end #1 WR. I can get a regular #2 guy later on.
4.01 RB Willie Parker, Steelers - 8
I'm hoping the demise of Fast Willie is greatly exaggerated. Mendy hasn't shown much and PIT likes to run the rock. Can't complain about him as a #2 RB. He's looked decent in the pre-season thus far. Could have went WR again, but I think the RBs will be slim pickings by the time I select again.
5.18 WR Donnie Avery, Rams - 9
Another guy coming off injury. Risky, I know. But that's my style this year. One of the few #1 WRs remaining. Looks like he may return early. We'll see. My squad will probably be rated one of the worst by other owners. Can get another WR or two later on. This will probably turn out to be my worst pick of the draft.
6.01 QB Jake Delhomme, Panthers - 4
Wanted a back-up QB that isn't going to lose his job and doesn't have a bye week conflict with Brady. Mission accomplished. Now's the time in the draft where some owners don't have a starting QB and other owners are taking the back-up to screw them over for neglecting the position. It's gotta suck to have to rely on a Hill/Smith combo situation and either no back-up or draft a 3rd QB. Roster spots are limited and guaranteed starters are dwindling.
7.18 RB Darren Sproles, Chargers - 5
Needed another RB, so I took a guy that should get a little more playing time this year. Hopefuly he'll play a series or two by himself along with the 3rd down duties. Heck, extra second half stats against the Chiefs, Raiders, and Broncos can't be a bad thing. This league gives TD points to returners, so maybe Sproles gets me some points in that area.
8.01 WR Chris Chambers, Chargers - 5
Back-to-back Chargers. I didn't have anyone off in week 5, so having these two off then helped spread the weeks out. Chambers is on a good offense and was on a roll with a TD a game early last year when he was healthy. He's still technically the #1 Charger WR, even if VJack has been getting less coverage and better stats. People just forget about Chambers.
9.18 RB Jamaal Charles, Chiefs - 8
All the flex players at this point are lucky to get 500-600 yards and 5 TDs. Had hoped for Mark Clayton, but he disappeared right before this pick. Went with a guy that should get plenty of action, albeit on a terrible offensive team. Third down action is where it's at for Charles.
10.01 PK Lawrence Tynes, Giants - 10
Wanted a kicker with a week 7 bye week since I had no players off that week. However, I didn't like the options, so I went with one that should score well and has no bye week conflicts in week 10. Risky and probably stupid.
Hopefully a decent showing for drafting from the back of the bus. Expecting a quick exit as my squad isn't awesome in any category.

1.15 - Frank Gore
Obviously I am hopeful that he will be healthy and will be featured in the new offense ... I mean with Alex Smith or Shuan Hill under center how can SF not focus on running the ball (Crabtree Smrabtree)
2.04 - Aaron Rodgers
Wanted a solid top producer at QB and would likely have taken Peyton Manning had he been available. Thought long and hard about Philip Rivers.
1.14 Brandon Jacobs - Picking later in the first round means a couple of things not the least of which is the the RBs are already pretty slim. I felt that I needed a quality starter here even though he's going to miss at least three games due to his running style. I thought hard about Gore, but I think there will be more scoring opportunities by the G-Men than SF.
2.05 Phillip Rivers - Much like Grits, it was a toss up between Rivers and Rodgers here. I like the sunny weather better later in the season so I went with Rivers. I had to get a top producing QB as QB points are gold in this league. Of course I'll be picking over every freaked out wannabe WR by the time I get to pick again.
3.14 Braylon Edwards - Needed a #1 WR and he was the "best" available at this point. I can only hope he's cured his case of the dropsies.
Taking QB early was a key for me last year (Brees). Those consistent numbers every week were money in this league... but, since there were 3 high-end QBs left, and only two teams picking between me and my next pick, I grabbed the last of the serviceable RBs on the front end of my picks... and grabbed a QB on the back.
1.16 Portis
2.03 Manning
"championship"
3.16 A Gates
The best WR available according to projected stats, and also the one I had the most confidence in.
4.03 Felix Jones
I have him in a couple leagues, I think he's be a big point getter.
5.16 D. Mason
Jerks took all the good WRs before me. I don't like this.
6.03 M Bush
Well, on tilt... I finally made the pick that will make or break my team. I really should have gone WR... and this guy wasn't the top rated RB on my board... actually, he wasn't even in the top 5 RBs on my board... but I wanted him, so I grabbed him. I may live to regret this, or I will rub all your faces in it for not drafting him yourselves.
7.16 Dirty Mark Sanchez
If I didn't take a QB fast, I wouldn't have a second one... so I grabbed Sanchez. It was down to him and Stafford, I think.
8.03 Steve Smith the lesser
I wanted Mushin... I got Steve Smith. I think this has a chance of panning out.
This is not feeling like a repeat Champion team right now. I really have to hope for a huge Peyton year, and some over-performing WRs.

1.11 Andre Johnson
Made this pick via my mobile phone without really knowing who had gone before. Was hoping to get either Johnson or Moss here and was pleased one of them fell.
2.08 Pierre Thomas
Thomas has been steadily climbing the charts all preseason. I felt like I got him at a fair value as this would be the top of the third round in a standard draft. Hopefully he picks up where he left off last season.
3.11 Wes Welker
Really pleased with this pick. Welker's ADP is 30. I got him at 47. Unsure why he fell so far, especially in this survival format in which consistency is king. Welker will show up for me every week. Lots of people will be sorry they let him drop.
4.08 Jay Cutler
Time to get a QB. I'm not particularly high on Cutler but he seemed like the best available QB for this format. Considered Garrard but rolled the dice with the better passer.
5.11 Ahmad Bradshaw
Could've went a few different directions here. Coveted a couple of the WRs on the board (including Ward who immediately followed this pick) but I have some bye week issues. Ended up with Bradshaw as my #2 RB. Like D Ward last year, I think Bradshaw will get enough touches to contribute each week.
6.08 Brett Favre
QBs are dwindling. I thought it best to get my second one here. Favre was playing at a high level last year (pre-injury) and that was in an unfamiliar offense. He should give me some good weeks. Thank God no deductions for INTs.
7.11 Dallas Clark
Thrilled with this pick as I think he's going to be a top 3 TE this year. He also had an open bye week.
8.08 Fred Taylor
Needed a RB and it was slim pickings. Took a stab at the NE backfield. Taylor is supposedly going to be the starter and hopefully he can do something with his 10-12 touches per game.
9.11 Neil Rackers
Wanted a PK with a week four bye. Rackers fit the bill and he plays in warm weather.
I'm just winging it...after ten years I've figured out that he who has the most players still starting and not injured at the end wins
3 teams are going with the single team QB concept this year.
And Skippy has 3 QBs out of 10 roster spots that's let's see... multiply by 0, divide by 2, carry the one, find the x coefficient for the area under the curve... 30% of his roster. Ouch
Everybody has bought into the 1 PK theory.

Nobody went for last year's winning "no kicker points" strategy though. Weird.

Leinert was in my pre-pick que. He was pretty darn far down and I really did not expect to get him. I am not sure if he was last but he was close to it but you guys picked away at all the scrub WR's that will hit some off and on HR's right before my pick.
