There's actually two new recipes up, one is the Jamaican Jerk Chicken that I've posted here before and the other is the grilled figs dessert. This is a stupidly simple dessert that has the power to get you laid. I kid you not.

grill those figs and create sauce (or syrup) from them and the honey... drizzle over the chevre or spoon it on them.

if you want to step the chevre up... 3 stage them with the last being panko.... sear for toased chevre. serve warm. (i've used that on several salads.. and it just rocks).

I have found that a small amount of onions carmelized in extra virgin coconut oil adds to the fig/goat cheese combo very nicely! In fact, I would consider melting down the extra virgin coconut oil and substituting that in for the olive oil as well.

Unless you have a major aversion to coconut...but the flavor imparted is very mild ans works really well IMO.

Anytime I am gooking something with a fruity/sweet flavor I like to experiment with the EVCO versus the usual EVOO. So far I have to say thmbup.gif

You could have a goat cheese recipe party. Call Atomic! He's ghey enough to go, and will probably bring his scanner biggrin.gif

Serve Port. Taylor Fladgate 10 year Tawney.

EDIT: Kidding on the port...I would probably look for a mildly spicy red to go with the goat cheese.

oh shoot... if you guys do this you have to slice the chevre, put in the freezer for about 15-30 min. then proceed with the three stage breading. otherwise the chevre doesn't hold it's shape and falls apart.

Yeah, I already figured that one out. It's hard enough to slice just to serve.

Do you use mission figs?

The mission figs are the best, but I've done it with brown turkey and green Calimyrnas and they all work well.
