Hello everyone, payment of your HomaRRRRRRS dues are now being accepted.
The total amount for a PP payment is $25.00 I'll figure out PP fees later or just take them from the kitty. I'm a novice at using PP, but let's get going. Based on another league I'm in -- Paypal amount is higher than the $25 entry fee, as it does cost me every time I ACCEPT a payment, regardless of the payment type. (30 cent transaction fee + 3%).
Sending money (snail mail) is $25.00 PM or Email me for My Address Information.
My PP address is: dewood (@) herbein.com - this is also my email address (Remove the parins around @)
Put your Huddle ID, YOUR team name for Cork It! FFL - I'll use this to setup the Franchise data at MFL and the league name in the email title or in the NOTES.
1) Make sure you include the League name, Your team and your Huddle Handle so there is no confusion on who is sending the money.
2) DO NOT include any comments on your Pay Pal payment that alludes to or suggests FF dues or gambling!
Once you send payment, i get a confirmation email that I have received a payment.
I will then update the list below.
nogohawk - Tuscan Tasters - Paid PP 8/27
Lord Opie - Paid PP 8/31
twiley & bier - Paid PP 8/31

As for the wine submittal - I can use my CellarTracker link to verify current market amounts on wine. I think we were thinking about a $50-75 value for one or multiple bottles.
I think I'm going to offer up a Shane Unknown. I'm not sure what the street value is so you'll have to look it up on cellartracker. I believe Bier and I will be submitting two bottles totaling around $75.
nogohawk - 1997 Castelgiocondo (Marchesi de' Frescobaldi) Brunello di Montalcino (Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino)
Lord Opie - 2004 Hidden Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon
WashD - 2006 Bergstron Pinot Noir
twiley & bier - Shane Vineyard The Unknown Syrah & _____

I'm a bit torn...for something that will take awhile before it's ready to enjoy I'm leaning toward offering up

(you should have notification of my Paypal payment and team name in your inbox now)
BTW my team name is "Aged for Smoothness"
still thinking about the wines. Will either go with a single bottle Chateauneuf-du-Pape or with 2-3 bottles of other French and/or Swiss wines that I brought back with me last month. (I suppose I would be fine with letting the winner have a choice of what they want. I'll list the bottles sometime this weekend.)
I'll let you know this weekend.

OK, so we need to declare now? I mean we could change our mind or I could drink it by December. I mean if we declare now are we locked into it? I can understand the reasoning, so we have time to assess the value, but we can't change our mind? Just checking.

Ya, not quite sure why we need to declare now. Are we worried that someone is going to end up sending 2 buck chuck?

(but I agree, I see no need to declare wines now)

We should be declaring mostly so I can share said information with my wife as the potential upside of me being in yet another fantasy football league....In fact I have a back up plan which has me buying 6 or so of these bottles that are declared over the next 6 months so I can just fake the win to her even if I lose as a way of keeping the wife on the plus side of fantasy football no matter how poor my performance in this league is this year!

I was thinking of a good White Zin, and I was going to sweeten the deal with some "Cheez Whiz, Calorie Valley 1999" , but instead I am going to offer "Gaja Brunello di Montalcino Sugarille 2000". It is chilling in the cooler as I write this.

Agreed. Even Nov 1st is a little too kind. Next Monday sounds better.

If you are one of the top 3 finishers, do you still have to send in a bottle of wine or can you just defer?
