Okay fellas, we are going to have an open vote on this IDP mess I created.

I just want you to post your vote, no need to bash or elaborate upon things please

For the 2009 and future seasons.......

1. When you draft any player at a position and his position is changed by MFL , that player is to remain at the position he was drafted in.

2. When you draft any player at a position and his position is changed by MFL , that player is to gain that position eligibility and retain the position eligible for what he was at the draft.

3. All players are to be eligible at the positions set by MFL at all times.

***If your player changes position , you have the right to pick up and drop a player to fill that position vacated, free of charge.

I also want to reiterate to the league, that I am sorry for this confusion. My lack of IDP knowledge is what led to this mess, I hope you all understand and allow me to right the ship.

Option #3 is BOZooka Bobs' vote
Gonkis
Maize and Blue votes #3, with the allowance for a drop of the number of players affected by the change and pick-up. Your *** footnote.

Dallas Sooners
Id be willing to bet over half this league would be screaming from the roof top, if they were forced to lose their 15th round pick after they were given the OK to make the selection at the position listed at the time, to stay at that position for the year. And to see how pathetic some of these people are, PMing and calling Mike about this over and over, Im going to bail you out Mike. Ill adhere to whatever you think is fair. If you think its fair and right for me to lose my 15th round pick for an undrafted player. Then Ill accept that ruling. This vote is a complete joke. Its not like one person is going to vote for anything but the best interest of their own team.

Brent, what is your vote ?

URLACHERisGOD has a player in question that is also effected by this poll and has submitted a vote.

If the league decides to keep players aligned with MFL, anyone with a player in question, may select a new player if desired at the DE or DT position .

I do; Dumervill. I was going to elaborate on that. However, I thought the rules of this post were pretty clear when it was stated, "I just want you to post your vote, no need to bash or elaborate upon things please." Just following the rules Boss. wink.gif

Without a majority, we are going to have to leave the players drafted at the position they were originally drafted for.

In my opinion, for 2009 we should play according to the ruling that TOS gave when Dallas asked about Kampman's eligibility.

Although I hate it because it creates an unfair advantage, the fact is that decisions were made to draft based on the advice that TOS gave. It really is the only fair thing to do. It sucks, but the ruling was never really covered and TOS made a judgment call. Case closed, IMO.

What we should be doing is voting on how we will handle this in 2010 and beyond.

I agree with Wolf on this one.

This sounds like the best way to handle things. I admit my mistake , I'll take the lumps from anyone pissed off and we move on in 2009.

2010 , will be an issue for next season

You made the decision and you are the commish. I agree with Wolf, I stand behind your decision to let him go with what was discussed before the pick. For future years, obviously an issue, but for now we have no real reason to change any rules. You make the big bucks to make decisions, some might not like it, but you do all the dirty work and we move on.

Mike can't answer right now. Docs are too busy extracting his heart from his throat after the scare Navy threw into OSU this weekend... wink.gif
