I've been disappointed that the other BOTH leagues I've joined this year haven't had a harassing, what were you thinkng with that pick you must have been drunk on Chablis out of the box type threads.
So I'm starting one here.
Obviously normal etiquette remains, no mentioning players that have yet to be drafted

Michael Turner in a PPR league? Did you already start hitting the Zin?
Surprised Forte went when he did - seems like he's going to be the entire offense. Would have expected him to go higher.

I like him more than the other guys around that pick just cuz of health, reliability, consistency. Also, it's 'only' 0.5 PPR for RBs, so I was ignoring PPR for RBs a little.
Of course now, he'll get injured

and then I shall wHine.
Why do you say it that way?
wHat way?
Say, "Cool Whip."

no shît.
I like him more than MJD, but his yards/carry last year concerned me. Tho I did take him with #2 in a start-up dynasty this year.

SJAX in the first round? I knew you loved him based on your Huddle Ladder draft. Way to believe all the hype. It's not 2006 anymore. Hope against hope!

Is there hype around SJax this year? All I hear are the haters....in a .5 ppr I love him at the 10 spot.
On the other hand we have you taking Andre Johnson early in the first, who's incredibly talented and gifted...but watching Schaub limp around all pre-season makes me wonder how gifted he's going to look with Dan OrLostsky running out the back of the end zone at QB.

Yeah, Andre Johnson at the 6 spot may be a reach. This year, it feels like the first two rounds is very difficult to gauge. I already have first round remorse. I hate being in the 6 spot.

It will be a refreshing chage to play in a new redraft league with expereinced players. I have been doing too many dynasty/IDP leagues, and I already know most of the other owners in my leagues.
Looking forward to this boys!
PS- Had a going away party for another country club manager who is moving out of state. Out of the wines I remember were the
2003 les forts de latour
1999 chateau palmer (magnum)
2002 Neal cabernet
There were 4 or 5 more . . but my memory started to get hazy . . .

Great value in the 3rd, and the way WRs are flying off the board, taking one early was a wise decision

Exactly, Bier and I did a quick analysis of available WRs for our 4th pick and it was pretty mediocre.

This is the second draft this year I have done where Peyton has lasted until the end of the 3rd round. Why is everyone so down on him in comparision to Brady/Brees going almost a round and a half earlier?

i think it has to with a certain degree of scarcity after a certain point with rb's and wr's, while there are still going to be some qb's that do some decent scoring.
I think I stepped on somebody's toes based on the string of hate filled emails I just got from Dookie Style about my back to back QBs.

We knew you'd pick one but I never saw 2 coming. We were tossing up Ryan and Romo.
wow, I didn't realize it was the same team that took those two QBs.

I guess if I have a regret so far in this draft, it's passing on winslow and carlson in round 5 to take eddie royal. was foolishly hoping one of the two would make it back around.
Hey Opie, try to pick someone actually on a draft sheet.

My biggest regret was grabbing Owen Daniels when I did. I really wanted Vincent Jackson or Knowshon Moreno. Had I know that only TE would leave the board after my pick, I would have waited another round. Arrgh!
Sorry for the delay last evening - I thought I'd be able to hookup with my stepson adn his internet phone between sets - but we were sitting on opposite sides and he couldn't make it thru the sea of people.
Hopefully we can bang out a few more rounds today
ugh, now I am REALLY annoyed with myself for not trusting my instincts and taking a DEF with one of my last two picks

yeah, I thought about it for quite a while. The turn has some advantages, but waiting 20 picks for the nxt chance at a DEF made me take one. If everyone got one and one team took two

then I'd be really screwd.

If I had been at your end of the draft, I would have picked a DEF then. In the end, I figured I would just stock up on another WR and RB and play the odds with the defenses.
Had a strong feeling that DEFs were going to start flying off - was just hoping it would have started with me.

Picking on the turn I definitely knew I wouldn't get a top D by the time it got back to me. I just didn't think the run would be quite so pronounced.
