If the email for PayPal hasn't changed then I have that. But I need to know how much to send. I think we had talked about raising the fee this year and having a fund set aside for Aqua's family. Does that sound right?

Yeah, I think originally CEO had suggested we just give the winnings to Aqua's Family, but a couple of us said we still wanted something to play for so we suggested raising the fees. But I certainly don't want to be the one to suggest raising it if some people can't afford it, especially with the economy/job market the way it is. Maybe we could do something like keep it at $30 mandatory, but make it $50 optional for anyone that can afford the extra 20 bucks and G could send the extra to Aqua's family? Obviously if someone wants to send more they could, that was just a suggestion.

Let me step in for just a minute.

I know very much from talking to Audrey that she does not want us to keep sending her money. She thought that what we did was so great that she told many people about it but in the long run she ended up donating money to charity. I don't recall which charity right now but it was one that made me personally very happy about. CEO might know because I told him about it in an email but to be honest I do not think that we need to play for Aqua at this point. I think it is at a point where it means a lot more to just send an email or a telephone call.

By all means I will do whatever you guys want but I am just putting out there what I know.

Didn't realize that Skip, I was under the impression that the money went to Aqua's wife and that she needed it. Great of her to donate it to charity, but if she doesn't want us to send it and isn't going to keep it, then I agree, I don't think we need to continue with it.

Unless someone has a good idea of what to do with the money, I guess we just stick with the $30?

Don't take what I said wrong. I think that the majority of the money that we all sent, (Rage plus the Huddle), went toward some unpaid bills, helping Audrey with paying for living expense while she was down my way with Aqua at the hospital, even maybe to help pay for some funeral expense. I am just saying that the very last gesture that we sent to her went to charity and she made that pretty clear as she had me send part of it myself. She is very good people and is way thankful for what we did when we did it.

Now for the fee - I think it was 30 plus paypal fee but leage site is going to cost us each about 6.70 plus the paypal fee and I am thinking that we are going to be around 33 or 34 dollars.

Okay....10 leagues going on, so bear with me...

Do I still owe dues for this league? I looked tonight and didn't see a dues thread anywhere, so my sense is that I am a slacker...and I hate to be a slacker with dues.

Last year I just wanted to do something and Pengy felt the same and I was pleased that we were able to make a little bit of a difference for the chairty of Audrey's choice.

It was not my intent to turn RAGE into a memorial league and I still like playing for a few duckets.

I very much realize that. I did not remember what exactly everyone knew or did not know as I can't keep straight what some of us kept secret from what some of us shared with everyone.

All I wanted to do was sort of set the record a little straight before things got out of control. We all did a very nice thing for Aqua and his family and you and a few others did some VERY nice things. They will never be forgotten by me or Audrey.

Again, I just sort of wanted to make sure the record was sort of clear.

Derek - for right now you could go to MFL and download the game day applet. Put in our league and it will tell you scores. I will get this all sorted out over the weekend.

Software is 80.00 so it is 6.67 for each of us. 30.00 for the league and we are at 36.67 plus the paypal fee.

G - just to make it easier, why don't I keep my entry fee 36.67 and have someone else send me their entry fee, another 36.67. 73.34 leaves me just 6.65 short and I think in order to keep it simple, I can just eat that.

By the way, for future reference, I run multiple leagues on MFL and you can get a multi league discount plus I can get an FBG discount so with the early bird special its only like $50 per league if you want me to pay for it next year...

NJ - maybe I am doing something wrong. It shows me with the multi league discout at 79.95. I know that we can get the 10.00 discount from the huddle but I did not see anyway to enter that. Even at the early bird rate, I pay for three other leagues in April/May, I never get it less than 69.95. Tell me what the hell I am missing?

What a mess. Okay, I got the league for 69.95 as I poked around and found out how to get my huddle member discount. That was good for 10.00 off and multi league was good for another 10.00 off so it ended up 69.95/12 = 5.83 each.

That means we owe G 35.83 each plus whatever the paypal fee is. I don't know what the fee is from paypal as it looks like they sent me the entire 40.00 from NJ and did not take a fee. I know in the past they always took fees from me so I don't what the hell is going on.

Now I owe you some money back NJ.

You have to pay by early June to get the whole thing for $50 each Skip. Early Bird Discount is $69.95 - $10 Multi League Discount - $10 FBG or Huddle Discount.

They begin charging $89.95 on Aug 1st. So the 2 $10 discounts only bring it down to $69.95.

Don't worry about the extra few bucks...

received paypal from willy. Willy sent 38.00 and the net amount was 36.60, so the fee was 1.40. CEO send 40 and the fee amount was 1.83. The fee is apparently a % of total payment. Don't worry about adding anymore for the paypal fee, I'll handle the extra 10-12 total. So far we have money from: bumbo, CEO, Willy, NJ, skippy and me.

$38 gets 1.10 at 2.9%, plus .30 equals 1.40.

What's really hard is trying to calculate correctly how much to send to end up with some exact amount after the fees!
